NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) Police are asking for the publics help Wednesday to identify taggers who allegedly shot a man riding a bicycle through his North Hollywood neighborhood.
The taggers were marking a wall Tuesday night when one shot the 50-year-old unidentified victim in the 11300 block of Hatteras Street around 8:50 p.m., according to authorities.
Allegedly the victim confronted the taggers asking what they were doing and one man thought he was trying to take a picture of them on his cell phone, police said.
The man chased the victim and fired once with a handgun, shooting him in the calf.
The victim was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was reportedly in stable condition, police said.
Authorities are searching for the suspects, who fled the scene on foot.
They are described as men in their 20s, according to police.
"Taggers" with guns are gang-bangers, drug dealers.
Damn shame they couldn’t narrow it down a little more.
