'Dirty Jobs' Star [Mike Rowe] Rolls Up Sleeves for Romney Campaign
Breitbart ^

Posted on 09/25/2012 6:28:31 PM PDT by Perdogg

Mitt Romney is getting a little help from a reality show star whose gig aligns perfectly with the candidate's prime directive.

It's all about the jobs, or the lack thereof in the Age of Obama.

Mike Rowe of "Dirty Jobs" fame will campaign with the GOP presidential hopeful starting tomorrow in the crucial state of Ohio.

The Discovery Channel personality and Ford Motor Co. pitchman will offer his support Wednesday to Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney at a public event in Bedford Heights.

Romney's campaign announced the Rowe endorsement late Monday when confirming Romney's Cleveland-area itinerary for the final day of a two-day bus tour through battleground Ohio.

Rowe’s a great guy; has always had that “yeah I’m a star but to hell with that; I’m a regular guy” air about him. Ladies love him.....in the extreme. Guys feel he’s the type they’d share a beer with.

Maybe some of that can rub off on Romney (God bless ‘im; he needs that).

What Mike Rowe has to offer is solid common sense. Great video of Rowe talking about his realization that the smart people aren’t always so smart and very often they just get in the way of what needs to be done.

Pay attention Mitt, this guy can connect with the blue collar guy in a way that few politicians can.

Rowe isn’t afraid to work, get his hands dirty, put in a full day.

Good man, great spokesman.

I like the fact that Rowe wants to restore blue collar jobs to their rightful place of honor and college isn’t for everybody.

Mike Rowe for Sec of Education...with the mandate to dismantle the department and turn functions back over to the states within 3 years.

Then move him to Sec of Labor.

I agree. There is plenty of room and necessity in this country for good, honest, labor related jobs. This obsession with the idea that everyone should go to college is BS.

I have a college degree and am seriously advising my children to look long and hard at a career in Plumbing, Electric, or a good technical trade. They are generally good paying jobs with security.
