NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offered Libya more help on Monday as it seeks to rein in militias, stressing that Washington will remain a firm partner despite this month's deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.
...snip...
A senior U.S. official said Clinton reviewed U.S. assistance to Libya as it works to secure chemical weapons and other dangerous armaments and to crack down on armed militia groups that have sprung up since the ouster of longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi.
"The secretary offered to intensify our support and help for the Libyan government in all of those areas," the official said following the meeting.

The “Rat” would be Obammy.
He sent Hill to do his dirty work and she did it.
removing khaddafi and mubarak was a huge mistake and definitely not in the best American interests.
She couldn’t protect one ambassador what’s she going to do for the country of Libya? Send in some NATO airstrikes?
“Libya as it works to secure chemical weapons”...

On Friday the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed the existence of yellowcake in Sabha. But Joseph Cirincione, president of the Ploughshares Fund, also believed the finding was cause for concern:
Remember we had been assured by the State Department just weeks ago in August that significant mustard gas, MANPADS and nuclear materials were all secured. This discovery appears to show that in fact we can’t count on anything being secured in Libya now.
Cirincione was referring to statements made to reporters in late August by State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, in which she clearly indicated that Libya’s stockpiles of mustard agent and uranium yellowcake were secure:
“All sensitive elements of Libya’s nuclear program, including everything that Libya received from the (Pakistan-based) AQ Khan network, were removed in early 2004. The last of the highly-enriched uranium, the bomb-making fuel, was removed from Libya in 2009.
However, on September 7 The Washington Post reported that about 11 tons of mustard gas shipped into the country remain unaccounted for, despite Pentagon claims to the contrary.

Heck, John McCain is stuck on Libya. We had something to do with removal of Khadafi, but Mubarak is on the Egyptians.
Hadn’t Stevens only recently returned to Libya after being in Germany? We have our AFRICOM there and shortly after Gaddafi was killed Obama sent troops into Africa?

Less than two weeks after the video’s smashing success, Invisible Children is facing the prospect of carrying on without Russell - at least for a while.
He was briefly detained by police and hospitalised after witnesses saw him running through streets in his underwear, screaming and banging his fists on the pavement.
