Romney to @emilyabc: "I can't imagine saying something like the assassination of ambassadors is a bump in the road."
Also, Romney spoke to CBS News' Jan Crawford:
In intv, Romney hits Obama on "bumps in the road," tells me "its pretty clear the WH jumped the gun" in casting Libya attack as unplanned.
12;06;04 PA: First, Governor thanks for your time; we appreciate it. We will be back here in Denver nine days from now just six weeks until this election. Polls show you are trailing in pretty much every battleground state, are you feeling some pressure going up against a popular incumbent? 12;06;17 MR: I think this is an election about a choice between two different paths. We watched 60 Minutes last night as a nation, people saw the Presidents path forward, they saw the things I would do and we have very different views on foreign policy and a domestic policy. The president characterized as bumps in the road- the developments of the Middle East, we just had an ambassador assassinated. Egypt has elected a Muslim brotherhood or person as president. Iran is on the cusp of having nuclear capability. We have Tumult in Syria and also Pakistan and I dont consider these bumps in the road, I think this is a time for American leadership domestically; the presidents policies are a continuation of the past four years. We cant afford 4 more years like the last 4 years.
12;07;02 PA; Governor, in your heart of hearts do you genuinely believe that President Obama, when he referred to bumps in the road and was not deeply-
Perhaps a better way to put it, is do you genuinely believe in your heart of hearts that President Obama wasnt deeply saddened by the loss of 4 American lives in Libya that he was speaking more widely about policy in that region not about the loss of lives that took place there at the consulate and embassy.
12;07;23 MR: When the president was speaking about bumps in the road he was talking about the developments in the middle east and that includes an assassination, it includes a Muslim brotherhood individual becoming President of Egypt. It includes Syria being in tumult; it includes Iran being on the cusp of having nuclear capability. It includes Pakistan being in commotion. There are extraordinary events going on in the Middle East and considering those events either one of them or all of them collectively as bumps in the road shows a person who has a very different perspective about world affairs and the perspective I have. I think this is a time for American to exert leadership and this is not something that we are doing in the Middle East and frankly the course we are on also domestically has left so many people behind, I think we have to take a very different course than the course that has been followed over the last 4 year

The late Ambassador Stevens was simply one broken egg in the omelet.
Hit the bastard every day. Every day Romney and Ryan should ask the press why they have not asked Obama a question. Todays question would be: Do you consider 4 dead Americans bumps in the road?
Romney needs to keep this up.
Only Obama and his MuzBro overlords would call the rape and assassination of a U.S. ambassador a bump in the road.
Funny how the liberal media doesn’t want to talk about the fact that Ambassador Stevens was raped before he was murdered.
Did he say it is a bump in the road or he is a bump in the road (now). See like Clinton, it all depends on what the meaning “is” is.
Romney — hit at the fact that obama is doing lighthearted interviews on Lettermen and the View as the world burns.
Excellent work. Ping Drudge.
And this will be reported as Romney’s latest “gaffe”.
You do not call American lives “bumps in the road” or “noise” unless you are a cold scurvy hearted individual.
I don’t see how even the state run media can downplay/defend this?
The media doesn’t even acknowledge that Ambassador Stevens was murdered much less raped. I watched tv all weekend - and there was not one mention of this poor man’s name. I was steaming!
How this Administration can enable a filthy murder and still manage to throw the victim under the bus is beyond me.
Selfish, uncaring, egotistical... I could go on...
I guess they’ve been whipped long enough as a draft horse -— I dunno....seems like they’re starting to just “phone it in”.....BUT, they still advertise and promote those horribly sampled polls that are coming out constantly to show Obama has it won....BS (with a bold S and a double spit).
Tonight, CBS aired a 60 Minutes interview with President Obama. But curiously enough, the news magazine show did not air a clip of Obama admitting to interviewer Steve Kroft that some of his campaign ads contain mistakes and that some even "go overboard." ... "Look, the fact-checkers have had problems with the ads on both sides," Kroft says to Obama in the unaired clip, "and say they've been misleading and in some cases just not true. Does that disturb you? I mean, some of them are your ads." Obama responds: "Do we see sometimes us going overboard in our campaign, are there mistakes that are made, areas where there is no doubt somebody could dispute how we are presenting things? SOURCE:cbs-nixes-clip-of-obama-admitting-campaign-mistakesBarack Hussein Obama II went on (my paraphrasing) to say: "But tuh election is so important and.... I am Barack!" |
Jean F-the-Army- Kerry said that we’d just have to accept a “negligible” amount of terrorism.
This is what happens when you elect liberal Democrats.
