Searching old newspapers is one of my favorite pastimes, and I have tried to use them many times to shed light on current events — or to inform readers about how the past is prologue to our very interesting present-day quandaries.
Recently, I came across a syndicated column from November 1979 that seemed to point 30 years into the future toward an obscure campaign issue that arose briefly in the 2008 presidential campaign.

I agree with your take on it AuntB. I have run into others who don’t, but I think they are mistaken.
Until the Islamic hoards swear off violence, and accept that non-believers have rights too, we’re getting nowhere with these people.
I do think there are Islamists out there that are willing to live under those parameters in peace with the West, but until the vocal ones in power swear off on it, we’re getting nowhere.
The idiot in charge of Libya right now demands the West respect Arab beliefs. By making that statement, he is saying that he doesn’t think the West has a right to object to some of the Arab beliefs. He still thinks he should be able to disagree with the West whenever he wants, but the West disagree with him and other Arabs, why how dare they. In essence, the jihad is on.
What a devious dumb ass. And this is someone who holds power. This is as far as his enlightened thinking goes. And he truly thinks he’s a brain-trust. No, he’s an idiot. He can’t think his own way out of a paper bag.
Those in the U. S. who front for these sorts of Arabs, are not our friends. They can call themselves Republicans, Democrats, Conservatives, even Marxists, what it all boils down to is they are facilitating the actions of our enemies.
And that’s just what they should be seen for.
Yes, there are similarities - except this time only the money comes from abroad, the "raised from birth to be a Communist" happens right here in the U.S. The Soviets did boast that they would destroy this nation from within. And Hollywood sometimes seems to create fictions that are intended to cloak reality; another 1980s film is a good example: WarGames.

Given the "flexibility" comment, it might not be blackmail - just Comrade Obama's explaining his failure to accomplish certain goals.

Black radical Khalid al-Mansour (formerly Donald Warden) spoke in 1979 to ex-communist Vernon Jarrett about a fund that he was developing with OPEC to be used in part to fund the education of promising black students. One of the purposes of this fund was to make up for the anticipated loss to black American institutions caused by their tilt toward the Palestinian Arabs in their war with Israel. The fund was to commit $20 million per year for 10 years.
According to Percy Sutton in 2008, Khalid al-Mansour approached him nine years after the fund was discussed with Jarrett, and Sutton was asked to intercede to help Barack Obama get into Harvard Law School. Immedlately after Sutton revealed this, a mysterious man emerged, claimed to be the Sutton family spokesman and said that Sutton was senile. Sutton’s son said that the family had no spokesman and nobody in the family had heard of this man, but the story disappeared and Percy Sutton died shortly thereafter.
Now, Jarrett’s daughter-in-law, Valerie Jarrett, who was born in Iran, is considered the strongest center of power in the whitehouse.

This squares the circle. Between black communists (Vernon Jarrett, Frank Marshall Davis), white communists (William Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn) and Arab money (Prince Alawaleed bin Talal and black Muslim Khalid al-Mansour) we have a definition of the Chicago network that lies behind Barack Hussein Obama.
The Communists have rebuilt their network on Arab money, as they share the same goal -- crippling the U.S. economically and militarily. Domestic Communists and the Muslim Brotherhood have allied against the USA.

Maybe all he had to do was use his “international status,” muslimbo background and family, say he would engage in muslim studies, and apply, and his radical, anti-American momma and grandma would’ve been more than happy to help facilitate free college:
Islamic Development Bank (IDB)
This is a scholarship for Muslims in Non-member countries. Awards are based on academic merit and financial need. Covered in the award is full tuition, medical and vision insurance, a monthly allowance, and miscellaneous college expenses, to name a few.
They do try and place recipients in the country of application, however if you enroll outside of the county, the do offer as a bonus air fare home between semesters.
The United States is not a member of the IDB, although they do place students in American Universities from other countries. The website has a listing of member countries.
Islamic Scholarship Fund
The ISF awards $1,000 to $10,000 annually to:
Citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.
Currently attending a four-year university in the U.S.
Muslim or active member of the Muslim community
Of Junior standing or above
Maintaining a minimum 3.4 Grade Point Average
Majoring in the humanities, social sciences, liberal arts, or law
KFF Scholarship
This is a graduate scholarship available to Muslims studying in science, medicine or engineering. The scholarship can be used at U.S. colleges and the applicant must be a practicing Muslim of high academic merit.
This is a full scholarship award, paying all tuition fees, a monthly allowance, and they will give you a ticket home once during the 2-3 years you are a scholarship recipient.

IT’S BEYOND LIKELY AT THIS POINT THAT THERE’S A SERIOUS REASON HIS COLLEGE DOCUMENTS AND PAYMENT THEREOF ARE PURPOSELY SEALED.
I wouldn’t disagree with that stridently. I think there’s a good deal of truth to it. I do always hold out hope for the impossible though. Sometimes you get surprised.
That doesn’t mean you expose yourself based on hopes.
There’s another connection. According to the most recent biography of Frank Marshall Davis, Davis was a close friend of and close Communist collaborator with none other than Vernon Jarrett, thereby making an effective, close connection for the Illegal with Jarrett through Davis. Thus, the connection pretty clearly seems to start with Davis who plugged him into Jarrett, who then plugged him into the rest of the Chicago radical community, including Valery, Moochelle, and the Ayres, both father and son.
Seems to me a link to this article should be tweeted/sent to folks at FOX, Breitbart, drudge etc.

This is nothing new. Glenn Beck has been talking about the marriage of the radical left with jihadist moslems for 2-3 years at least, when he was still at Fox. The problem is that nobody listened to such “wacko” ideas, as everyone seemed to enjoy calling them. Truth be told, he was well ahead of the curve on this one.
