DES MOINES, Iowa — In a presidential race seemingly frozen in place for months, the advantage has shifted toward President Barack Obama after a series of miscues by Mitt Romney, punctuated by the Republican challenger's comments about people who pay no income tax.
Despite a continuing gray economic sky and unrest in the Mideast, the president has edged ahead of Romney in polls in some of the most competitive states, including Iowa and Virginia, and forced Romney to redouble efforts in Florida and Ohio, without which he has little chance of becoming president.
With about six weeks left before Election Day and early voting under way in some states, Romney faces a problematic map, a ticking clock and a campaign demeanor that has failed to click with many voters.
Obama's momentum did not come overnight. It built over several weeks in which Romney hit some potholes while the president made few errors and benefited from previously unseen advantages in advertising strategy and fundraising.

From what I’m seeing and hearing, the election is going to be a squeaker.

If 0bamuabe is reelected, I will chalk that up as God’s judgement on this country. This nation’s “culture”, its academia, its media, and its governance, has rejected God and even shakes its collective fist at Him.
I don’t believe God is going to intrude where He is not wanted, at least not this time, and this country will be left to the mercy of the Secular Humanists.

Trust me, if after the first debate, Mitt does a great job, the media will be screaming headlines like “Romney comes out flat in debate, likely to lose”
Stories move at lightening pace these days. People forget the latest “scandal” by the weekend.
All I know is that Obama is still not polling above 50%. We all know that if we had a GOP President in the White House with the same polling numbers, the media would be carrying that “he’s in big trouble because he’s below 50%” line 24/7.
I don’t know who Don Feder is but, to be safe, in case it just not over I think I’ll go ahead and vote anyway.

he polling they want to cite is in the margin of error. It is actually bad news for Obama that he cannot post outside the margin of error numbers in any of these polls. He is an incumbent so at this point he should be comfortably ahead.
When you adjust the samples in these polls to get a realistic D-R-I mix it is a dead heat.
The way I see it is that with the economy and unemployment where it is, with gas prices where they are, with knowledgeable people scared about what's going on with the savages of Islam and our breathtaking foreign policy failures over the past 3.5 years, when election day comes they'll either sit it out because they just can't bring themselves to vote for the "evil" Republicans (as they've been taught all their lives), or they will do what needs to be done for themselves and their families (and, if they stop and think about it, what needs to be done for America).
My conclusion: This thing is not even close -- Romney-Ryan will win in a landslide (i.e., defined as a spread of 5 or more percentage points) that will be reported by the media as "totally unexpected".
Then, while obama remains a lame-duck president the media will condemn their fellow Americans as "racists" and accuse us of "taking a giant leap backward from the 'progress' of 2008".
But when Romney-Ryan take office in January within -- I estimate -- three or four months the economy will explode as investors and banks begin releasing huge amounts of money they've been sitting on due to the uncertainties inherent in trying to convert America to socialism. Americans are tired of nearly four years of economic problems and disparaging our country's greatness, and are ready for a positive change and competent leadership.

Am thinking God knows America and the hearts of the majority of Americans as being good. While this maybe is the exact or nearing of time to end for America, maybe America still has a role to be here for Israel. I realize God can take care of Israel all by Himself, and does not need America, though am not of the belief America dies without first having been given a chance to repent. There are people rising up all across this great land that are not shaking their fists at God. Those people are taking a bended knee. May God see those people also, and may He have mercy on them.
Who is Don Feder? Really want to argue that these polls, which assume Obama will do better in turning out voters in 2012 then he did in 2008, are serious?
