On her MSNBC program this afternoon, NBC News' Andrea Mitchell said the network would not air the clip of then-State Senator Barack Obama endorsing redistribution in 1988 because the network could not "authenticate" the clip.
"Let's explain this redistribution issue because we have not authenticated this 14-year-old tape from Loyola College when Barack Obama was a state senator. So because we have not independently at NBC news and MSNBC authenticated it, we're not airing it," Mitchell said.
"But the basic issue is they're accusing President Obama, as John Sununu said to be yesterday, of class warfare. That is trying to change the subject," Mitchell added.

Rush just said the White House has confirmed that the tape is of Obama. So, take that, beyotch.
Of course, Andrea ‘the Red’ Mitchell, would air any tape about Romney without authenticating it, even when it was doctored.
Is that fair to those 11 people watching?
Remember, a while back it was revealed that the administration approves the quotes used by the press. Apparently this did not pass inspection with the administration.
Isn’t Andrea the one who played that blatantly doctored tape of Romney at the Wa Wa store?

So will the boney Mrs. Alan Greenspan tell her tiny audience that there are 1 or two minutes of the Romney tape missing, so it’s authenticity is highly questionable? (crickets>>>>)

But they will air a story about Mitt Romney based on a video clip with two minutes missing right after his supposed verbal infraction. For all NBC knew, Romney made extended remarks that could easily have cleared up any misconception in the video.
So Mitchel trying to act as if she has journalistic integrity, is preposterous.
