Bill requires all health plans to cover contraceptives, sterilizations A $1.047 trillion bill funding the federal government through March 2013 has been passed by House Republicans. The bill includes the regulation that took effect on August 1 that will require virtually all health plans in the U.S. to cover, without fees or co-pay, sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives -- including those that induce abortions. LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The vote passed by a wide margin of 329-91. The bill now goes to the Senate for expected approval next week. The bill also funds the government for six months into the new fiscal year and for almost five months after the November elections. Congress turned to the stop-gap measure after failing to pass any of the 12 appropriation bills necessary to fund day-to-day government operations. Declared unanimously as an "unjust and illegal mandate" by the bishops of the United States, the body declared the Obamacare sterilization-contraception-abortifacient regulation one that violates the right to free exercise of religion -- not only of Catholic institutions, but also of Catholic business owners and workers. The bill does not prohibit funding for either Obamacare programs or Planned Parenthood, nor does it stop the government from enforcing regulations, such as the mandate from the Health and Human Services Department that nearly all health insurance plans provide contraceptives, sterilizations and abortion-inducing drugs free of charge. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), described the health insurance mandate as an "unambiguous attack on religious freedom in our country" and a violation of the First Amendment protecting the free exercise of religion. Boehner supports the CR along with the GOP House leadership.

Who voted for it and who opposed. Can we get a list?

The GOP is once again complicit in Murdering Babies in mass.
D*mn it.....those dumb **&^&^&%. Planned Parenthood is single-handedly destroying the moral fabric of our children. They sexually confuse them—teach them Sodomy and immorality and force them to throw off Virtue and Christianity and discipline-—the needed element for success, freedom and a long- lasting marriage in which an emotionally healthy future generation can be built.
“Feel good—do it” and put toxins in your body to ignore std’s and pregnancies and destroy your health-or just get an abortion and your parents will never know it even if you are 13 but you will probably get breast cancer. They are disgusting.
They are intentionally collapsing culture—to do that you sexually corrupt the next generation-—destroy morality (Lukacs)-—create promiscuous drones who are into masturbating with objects and groups (meaningless sex) and need drugs and pills to cope with their pathetic silly, worthless lives of dysfunction.
Slave society is being built by this unconstitutional group.
Just Double U Tee Eff?
But, don't worry bills like this don't mean much. Myth is pro-life except in cases of rape, incest, and to support the "health" of the mother......like when she doesn't want to have morning sickness, or believes an abortion will improve her mental health, or fears her food cravings could lead to an eating disorder, or.........
But, hey he has (R) after his name.
God Save America........and no, I don't mean lord Romney after he ascends to magic underpants god-status on the planet xylophone.
Way to go GOP-e. We knew you’d do it.
S#it s#it s#it, and people think they will hold Romney’s feet to the fire.........fat chance.
Oh it will happen. Just starting. They work for us.
And this is the guy and party you are now supporting...
Boner has got o GO!
Either you are delusional or being sarcastic.
How do you hold the feet to the fire of a liberal Republican when congress is also liberal acting.
We are screwed.
Did anyone see or hear this reported anywhere?
We didn’t get where we are today without the democrats and republicans broadly agreeing on the path. The idea that we have a democatic choice is bull shat.
Oh.
OK
We’re giving up.
Hmm.
OK.
Goodnight, then.
Republicans kowtowing to Democrats yet again. And many on FR wonder why I will not vote in this election ... why vote when republicans keep giving in to the Democrat.
Regardless the winner of the upcoming election, there is little difference between the Republicans and Demarcates and these differences are getting slimmer and slimmer by the election. The Democrats are winning (frog in hot water thingy).
what Republicans and why
