Secret Service officials refused to allow protesting students at Wright State University to assemble within one-quarter mile of Vice President Joe Biden during his visit last week.
“The Secret Service respects everyone’s right to freedom of speech but we also have a duty to provide a safe and secure environment,” Secret Service spokesman Max Millien told Campus Reform, which reported that students rallying against Biden and President Obama in support of Mitt Romney moved twice at the orders of the Secret Service until they reached a designated “free speech zone.”

Excuse me bud, the US Constitution trumps secret service activities. If you can’t protect your guys out in public, keep them home.

It amazes me that those sworn to uphold The Constitution are the ones that routinely think nothing of violating it. I don’t understand their stronger loyalty to an idiot like Biden, than to the Country.

But it is OK to camp out at the end of George Bush’s lane for months on end to protest his policies....

I think everybody should be allowed to protest hair plugs.
OK, I'll admit that I do engage some of them, especially the undecideds, to find out what issues matter to them so I can mark it down in the Notes section. However, I have worked for years in politics and am comfortable questioning people carefully to find their hot buttons. The campaign does not expect this, just be a pollster. I want to give them the best information I can.
If you are worried about rejection or rudeness, I suggest this is a great experience for you to get used to it. Remember, if the caller is rude or rejecting, IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU. It is a reflection of their own problems and attitudes. This will be a healthy experience to help you grow.

Don’t bother using the Obama phone bank since it will be slanted the wrong way. Try the Romney phone bank. Your calls will really make a difference! And, you do meet some very nice people, too.
