A lone appeals judge bowed down to the Obama administration late Monday and reauthorized the White Houses ability to indefinitely detain American citizens without charge or due process.
Last week, a federal judge ruled that an temporary injunction on section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 must be made permanent, essentially barring the White House from ever enforcing a clause in the NDAA that can let them put any US citizen behind bars indefinitely over mere allegations of terrorist associations. On Monday, the US Justice Department asked for an emergency stay on that order, and hours later US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Judge Raymond Lohier agreed to intervene and place a hold on the injunction.
The stay will remain in effect until at least September 28, when a three-judge appeals court panel is expected to begin addressing the issue.
On December 31, 2011, US President Barack Obama signed the NDAA into law, even though he insisted on accompanying that authorization with a statement explaining his hesitance to essentially eliminate habeas corpus for the American people.

wow this is really hard to watch.
good things the Russians reported it as i’ve seen nothing in the American media...
Here it comes... again...
Does anyone know about 2nd Court of Appeals’ record for overturning stuff?
Johnny and Kart, read this article. We know from Homeland Security writings that preppers are already suspected of being potential terrorists. Holder can pick up any prepper he wants right now.
And Russia Today is reporting it, I’m so ashamed.
There’s something funny going on, you can just feel it in the air.
Well, at least we are being informed of this from a media source that is FAR more trustworthy than the American media.
Obama and the filthy democrats MUST be removed from power. There is no other reasonable option.
There's something going on all right, but it sure ain't funny.
You cannot be serious. On a good day, Russian state-owned media rises to the level of ours. Which is atrocious.
Apropos of nothing, a friend passed along a comment made by a federal law enforcement officer to a law enforcement supplies dealer. The comment was, "don't go too far away from home between now and November. You might not be able to get back". The federal officer suddenly had a sheepish expression indicating concern that he had made an "improper" disclosure".
China and Japan are prepping for a fight over some islands between Japan and Thailand. Iran and Israel a prepping for battle. Iran has launched a Russian made sub into the Persian Gulf area. The muzzies are attacking everything thing in sight. What could possibly go wrong?
I'm working on a contract 900 miles from home. None of this crap makes me very happy. Life is hard enough already.
ugh
I am sure that DUers are saying its OK now because its “ours now”
“There’s something going on all right, but it sure ain’t funny.”
“Funny” as in suspicious. What’s going on isn’t any kind of joke.
If you are a white guy with a gun and disagree with the way the nation is going, you are a target.
Of course, that’s a whole lot of detainin’, most of which will probably not go well for those who chose to enforce this asinine legislation.
Maybe mercenaries disguised as UN “peacekeepers” would give it a go.
But if the world thinks that afghanistan is bad, try that over here...
The NDAA eliminates the posse comitatus act or recognizes the elimination of the act and allows the military to seize us citizens anywhere in the world including the continental states and hold them forever without charge or due process. All they need is a suspicion.
The US military once your protectors may soon be your captors..
And for the cool-aid drinking republicans here.. your guys voted for it too or when they could have easily killed it.
