big effing deal....so they have different points of view and weeks before the campaign they changed the speech...

While I would like to see any and all speeches and their various revisions just to see who all is involved with making them, but let's be blunt. The speeches mean nothing about a candidate's views - there are probably a dozen plus people who contribute talking points to the speeches, and it's run by dozens of people and probably even a focus group or two.

What Romney, Ryan, etc. say in front of a microphone when giving a speech has been processed and reprocessed many times by many people before they ever open their mouth. This isn't the days of Lincoln when he wrote his own speeches and his focus group was himself. What you hear in a speech is what they want you to hear, not necessarily what they think.

If somebody wants to know how a candidate will govern, it's best to look at their actual records, not what a dozen staff members and speech writers ran past focus groups.

Recovering from Rotator cuff surgery. Pretty dang’d painful.

It hurt like hell for a week after and then pretty easy.

They started Physical Therapy on me and pain oh pain. Not during it but the day after and a few days after.

I am enduring and will get my mobility back on their schedule, a bit slower. I do want to tear it again even a little bit.

The goal is to stretch and get mobility 1st.

Last night I must have thrown the sling and the pad that goes with it in the middle of the night.

When I woke they were on the other side of the room and a box before it was on the floor.

Ice, Ice Baby. Ice, Ice.

If it happens to you, do it all day and all night. It will keep the swelling down and trust me there is swelling for 6-8 weeks that you can’t see.

I’ve switched from the Ice machine all day to ice packs. I only use them an hour at a time. Gives me more mobility and a different feeling.

5 more months and I’m done with this no matter what. It takes 4 to 12 months and I’ve picked a number in between that says “deadline”.

From there I will take the strength training out on my own and this time next year I’ll be heli-boarding in Chile.

Of course I’ll take a road trip to visit you.

Keep on Keeping on...

I agree with you on their motivations, but I hope it’s true and that infighting through a sink hole pulls out a bull dog. It’s time. If Mitt can’t inspire push back in himself and the Establishment, Obama will.

The Obama campaign is unafraid of Romney, with all these favorable polls at a time when they should be cratering with their foreign policy blowing up in their face. It’s stunning really.

"Well Romney has muzzled his new lap dog."

It shows your ignorance of the use of a dog muzzle. Muzzles are used to keep a dog from opening his mouth, either to bark or bite. Obviously, Paul Ryan is opening his mouth and he is talking. His latest rally was in Florida where he criticized the Federal Reserve's plan to spend $40 billion a month to buy mortgage bonds. This he called "sugar-high economics."

It is apparent you want sugar-high politics and not the steady voice of the truth.

Paul Ryan has said more and you must be oblivious to it. Just this Friday, September 14th, he was at the Values Voter Summit. You should check out the You Tube video of his speech:

Paul Ryan 2012 Values Voter Summit Speech

On Obama's foreign policy: Obama has treated U.S. ally Israel with, in his words, "indifference bordering on contempt by the Obama Administration."

“Though, it is interesting that it appears incompetent RINOs are still #1 in charge in the campaign. “

Lol, does it completely escape you that the top of the ticket is himself a RINO?

What a bunch of smears you could drive a hole through. I feel sorry for Stevens who, by all accounts, gave a bunch of positive, innocuous answers and had no idea they would be cut and pasted together to create such a smear article.

Such a shame. I liked Politico OK in 2008.

I would like to see Ryan start including some of the lines he used at the Values Voters Summit. He pulled no punches going after Obama on numerous fronts.

Politico has long been Obama’s bitch. Why does Drudge care what agit-prop they are putting out today?

Because Drudge shilled for Romney in the primary, which indicates that he probably wants Obama to win. Anyone who backed Romney early in the primary is suspect as being pro-Obama, because anyone with a modicum of intelligence could see that Romney was a terribly, widely unappealing candidate who displayed several huge glass jaws and was unlikely to win.

You might be right on the alternate media stuff. I just don’t think it has really entered the minds of the GOPe and unfortunately those are the folks running the campaign (again).

I do think Romney is going to have a very effective media blitz. They pretty much crushed everyone else in the primaries that they focused on. Will see if that translates to the guy people “want to like.”

Honestly, I don’t see how Romney can influence the media narrative.

He had his chance at the convention and he blew it. The RNC spent their time either on defense or discussing nice things that were largely irrelevant to the fact that we have an election going on. This allowed the Democrats to remain on full offense at their convention. The Democrats, not needing to defend Obama, spent most of their convention bashing the Republican party as a whole, effectively turning Romney into an incumbent. I don't think the word "Democrat" was mentioned once at the RNC.

What's really being lost in the bashing of the Romney campaign is that he's doing nothing to create a narrative on why we need to elect Republicans, not Democrats, to the House and Senate. Not only is he way behind on selling himself, he hasn't even begun to sell the down-ticket Republicans. All it takes is explaining how Democrat policy has been bad for this country, but they won't do it. I think they think they want to convince "Reagan Democrat" types to vote for them, so they think bashing "Democrats" will turn off those voters. Which is amazingly wrongheaded. The Democrat who will switch to vote for a Republican will only do so if he AGREES that his party is doing a bad job. He's not going to take bashing of Democrats in Washington as a personal attack against him.

I buy this story, every time a “progressive”/moderate Repub sticks their finger in the wind, the finger always ends up in their rectum; thus always confused and blaming “Puritan” small government types who keep yelling the anus is exit only.

Most are just selfish, godless creatures who want low taxes with abortion on demand, globalism at the expense of the manufacturing infrastructure, content at the welfare State because the “system” retains control of undesirables, homosexuality, central planning to a degree in order to control competition/small businesses from growing too much, and keep DC a Wall Street/K Street lobbyists wonderland. Moderates unite, yee-haw!!!
