THE CAPITAL-JOURNAL
The Manhattan man who posed a formal challenge to President Barack Obama's place on the Kansas general election ballot Friday requested immediate withdrawal of the appeal due to an avalanche of criticism.
The Kansas Objections Board had taken the complaint filed by Joe Montgomery under advisement on Thursday, pending requests for official copies of Obama's birth records. The ballot issue was tied to Montgomery's assertion Obama wasn't a qualified candidate for president because of his citizenship status and that of his father.
"There has been a great deal of animosity and intimidation directed not only at me, but at people around me," Montgomery said in the formal withdrawal request to Secretary of State Kris Kobach. "I don't wish to burden anyone with more of this negative reaction."
Kobach, Attorney General Derek Schmidt and Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer had planned to convene the state board on Monday to consider new documentary evidence regarding Montgomery's claim that Obama should be dropped from ballots.
Kay Curtis, spokeswoman for the secretary of state, said there was a tentative plan to conduct the meeting Monday. The procedure remains unclear, but it may be necessary for the board to formally accept Montgomery's decision.
"This is kind of unprecedented," Curtis said.
The thug administration strikes again.
Enemies of truth at every turn.
It’s no different in the USA than in Libya or Egypt.
Either we stand up to this )(**&&^%^%^^&&*( or we become another Iran or Mexico.
Whoever is doing the intimidation - law enforcement, track them down and put their sorry a$$es in jail on terrorism charges. What do we have law enforcement for?
What this should tell every person in the USA is this: Al Qaeda has already taken over the USA. We are a banana republic.
And I can guarantee it was not little gray-haired nuns who scared this guy into backing down. It’s time to catch these Soros thugs and throw them into Gitmo and throw away the keys.
Could just as easily be the media or the Muslim Brotherhood.
America needs real Americans.
too late the issue is in the Secretary of State’s hands now.
It is now obvious that the heat is getting to Obama regarding his Kenyan Birth and falsified Hawaii BC as he is now attacking the Legal Process that would be sure to bring down his presidency before the November election.
It is the raging liberals in Kansas doing this. I know several that are throthing at the mouth over this.
Lock and load. Stand up or bow down.
Could just as easily be the media or the Muslim Brotherhood.
All the same.
America needs real Americans.
Agreed. If this were a single patriot alone, I could condemn him. But it is very likely that the government goons are going after some loved ones, some very vulnerable loved ones, of this guy. That changes the battlefield quite a bit.
And I put nothing past this regime as far as intimidation goes. You think Vince Foster had his reasons? That was nothing compared to this tyrannous thugocracy.
So the law and Constitution should now be ignored because of popular demand???!!!!
Sounds like a bunch of liberal college students from K-State behind this at www.goemaw.com.
Sounds like the guy is getting death threats.
But... the ball is over the wall, and he can “request withdrawal” all day long, and the SOS & the AG will handle it.
It wouldn’t surprise me. The guy who is withdrawing his ballot challenge works at K-State and also apparently is the public address announcer for the K-State Marching Band.

Could be the work of militant tuba players.

PING!

Looks like Montgomery hit Obama’s hot button! Well, maybe Jarrett and Axelrod’s hot buttons.
Chin up, Montgomery. This is the way Liberals throw their hissy-fits, get used to it.
(or whatever other lever they used to pry on him)
Yeah, there was a lib on another board bragging how goemaw.com saved Kansas from this. These libs have just gotten so arrogant these days that it is acceptable to harass and threaten people they don’t agree with. What a sad day for Kansas and our freedoms.
