What You Can Do To Help Romney Beat Obama
Vanity | Sept. 13, 2012 | Ziva

Posted on 09/13/2012 8:30:01 PM PDT by Ziva

I live in NY, a hopelessly blue state. There is very little I can do locally to help Romney. However, they have an excellent phone-from-home system this year, much better than other phone banks I've done before.

I started making phone calls from home for Romney. It is easy, well-supported, and free. It is important to start now so they can target the right people. You can get started at http://www.mittromney.com/call-home-landing

I sat on my hands last election because I didn't like McCain. Even though Romney was not my first choice, our very existence is at stake now. Please pass this on to all your political friends. The calls made now help identify voters who can be moved to vote for Romney.

My goal is to make at least 10,000 calls. They really make it quick and easy. I do not want to be partly responsible for 0bama getting reelected.

If you are in red or purple state, then I hope you get involved with the local Romney campaign. If you are in a blue state, then please join me in doing what you can from home with phone calls.

Next, please pass this on to your friends also in red states. Let's create an army of workers bigger than the unions do for the Dems. And please let me know personally if this helped you get started working on the campaign.

In this economy, many people here have little discretionary money to donate to political campaigns. Those who do know how to contribute.

My point here is that those of use who cannot donate money CAN donate time, hopefully lots of it, which will have the same effect as donating money.

Gots to add,

This board is for discussion, debate, and dissemination of information. Converting political junkies to your way of thinking, regardless of your veiws, is an exercise in futility.

The real battle, and work, is out there in the world, in your workplace, your neighborhood, at the subway shop, the gas station.

Although, I must say, argument here certainly polishes one's tongue.

Not exactly. Christ told a parable about talents and how and whether they were used wisely or foolishly. He gave us a brain with which to think and reason, the ability to invent, such as for medicines for healing, and free will upon which to act. Some people believing they are 'more pure and faithful' for refusing for themselves and children medicine, such as antibiotics or blood transfusions, go through needless suffering and/or death. That was their choice, but in many cases, an unwise and foolish choice with its resulting consequences. People can be sincere but sincerely wrong in their choices, which makes those choices unwise and short-sighted of what God's will might have actually been.

I do not believe that God would approve of His people knowingly making omission or commissions of actions which increase the likelihood of evil results.

Matthew 25:14-30

"Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.

"After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.'

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

"The man with the two talents also came. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

"Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'

"His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

"'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'”

So true! I do NOT waste my time arguing on FB with Dem Koolaid drinkers.

I didn’t read your long reply - I speak with God, not with you. God wouldn’t vote for Romney since Romeny doesn’t follow God’s direction and if you don’t know what that is, tough. Go ahead and vote for evil. I won’t respond to you again.

Aren’t there already thousands of Mormons willing to go door-to-door for Romney? I mean, he’s THEIR guy.

I don’t think they want that pointed out.

It is tough to argue with someone who speaks with God. Best leave it alone.

Absolutely correct. And, also, I don’t think there’s truly enough thought, time, or effort being given to what we MUST do within 1) our communities (work, friendships, gatherings with acquaintances, etc.), to really engage and reach out to people regarding political understandings and the ramifications of various policies (political, educational, etc.), 2) local and state elections, and how these things will create greater and better change, going from the ground up. Our churches have failed to create and disciple men to be leaders in their churches, homes, work, and communities. Churches have also become lukewarm. There is no fire in the belly in most churches. They need to take an active role in revitalizing their local areas as they truly have the power (through the Holy Spirit) to have the greatest influence in this country’s moral compass. With all the broken families, too, it is no wonder that we see such violence and anger in our youth. We are at very bad place. I believe only God can bring this country back to its bearings.

Hi Ziva, it means Ping For Later. It’s a quick way to book-mark the thread. I just don’t have the time right now to read the entire thread, so I will read it tomorrow. I am interested in volunteering for Romney, so thanks for the info. Good night!

Sometimes with these posts here I almost forget that I’m not reading passages out of my Bible where the pharisees were speaking.

nobody.... nobody... could copy Obama’s foreign policy that allowed our ambassador to be sodomized and then murdered.

A reverse October surprise! And Obama keeps setting those precedents. [He can't hlp himself.]

My ‘long reply’ was most from Scripture. You speak with God but don’t like to read His Word? Simply amazing, you are.
