Embassy Attacks: As our Mideast policy once again crashes and burns, the president promises a tough response at a Las Vegas fundraiser and the press coordinates attacks on the candidate who says our emperor has no clothes.
If the scenes in Benghazi and Cairo seem eerily familiar, they should. They are similar to the days before our embassy in Tehran was seized in 1979 and held for 444 days, the rotten fruit of a policy that deposed a loyal friend in the name of human rights and instead brought the world a government of, by and for fanatics in Iran bent on the nuclear annihilation of Israel.
Once again we have a president who abandons friends such as Egypt's Hosni Mubarak who, like the Shah in Iran, at least was on our side, then stands idly by as Islamofascism fills the political void we have created in the naive belief that if we're nice to the jihadists they'll stop trying to kill us.
The White House stubbornly refuses to believe that when jihadists shout "Death to America!" they actually mean it.
The orchestrated attacks on sovereign American territory — our consulate in Benghazi and our apologetic embassy in Cairo, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on American soil — only used a film considered insulting to Muslims as a pretext to incite greater mob participation.
They expose the Obama administration's touted "Arab Spring" as a fraud and a prelude to an American winter if the president gets reelected.

Come on! If Mike in middle management behaved like that, he’d be fired. That is callous disregard, going to Vegas. Obama doesn’t have a clue about leadership. The only way you could be this callous is if you were going somewhere to get money for yourself......ohhhhhhh.....now it’s clear.

Great article. Thank you for posting it. They were yelling “Death to Obama: yesterday. Didn’t see it on the news...didn’t expect to either but apparently they were yelling the words.
I love seeing him associated with Jimmah...hope the writers keep’em coming...we need lots more up until election day.

Your former editor from 20 years ago moved to the Houston Chronicle because the Chron's publisher wanted to move the paper to the Left. Your guy sure did that! I quit reading it in January 2007 when they went from 50c to $1.00/copy, right before they cut the paper in half, fired half the writers and staff (the half that weren't buds with the editor), and reduced its number of columns, giving what was left a sort of USA TODAY look.
The Chron, 40 years ago, was the evening paper and its audience was the Bidness Wing of the Democrat Party and a bunch of University Club executives and RiNO's. Now it's a screaming-queen gay rag that thinks Hugo Chavez walks on water.
I used to live for my daily paper and coffee .... now, never.
