Anthea Butler is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. The title of her most recent book, The Gospel According to Sarah: How Sarah Palin’s Tea Party Angels Are Galvanizing the Religious Right, gives you a pretty good idea of where she stands politically.
This morning, she strongly implied that Sam Bacile is responsible for yesterday’s embassy attacks and, as a result, should be tossed into jail.
Bacile is an Israeli filmmaker who lives in California and has gone into hiding. He made the crappy movie that is being used as a pretext to justify the violence that erupted in Egypt and Libya yesterday.
But is making a movie that makes Muslims angry a crime? Butler appears to think so.
Of course, like any academic, Butler purports to support free speech rights:

So logically, if someone is angered by her tweet and kills her family, she should be charged as an accessory murder.

Why do Americans blame themselves and other Americans for killings that were committed by someone else entirely?
The answer is because Americans hate themselves.

Any democrats who love the new progressive/islamic marriage in their party and at the convention better study who is the side groveling when there is a conflict between American free speech and islam. Progressives invited islamics into their party thinking they will be useful votes, but then can be controlled after the revolution comes are slightly mistaken.
Liberty really bothers liberals.

this attack on Americans, on September 11th, had NOTHING to do with some youtube movie, I wonder if that professor realizes that? The murderers were chanting, Obama Obama, there are a billion Osamas. Even the regime can’t hide that fact now.
