The National Republican Senatorial Committee omitted Todd Akins name from their map and shows McCaskill running unopposed in Missouri!!!!!!!!!! are they trying to throw the election? Cornyn heads up the committee and I have called his office and emailed him. Outrageous!

are they trying to throw the election?

It wouldn't be the first time and it definitely wouldn't be the first conservative they've thrown overboard.

akin is poison. I suspect he has added negative numbers to the recent polling. Nothing can be done to unsay his ignorant remarks about rape and the best the GOP can do now is to keep their distance from him.

They refuse to acknowledge Todd, and I REFUSE to send them a dime. It is if they don’t care about the goal of getting rid of Claire.

These guys aren't just shooting themselves in the foot in Missouri, they are also turning off conservative voters in other states.

No, what Todd Akin did was outrageous and his refusal to get out of the race was outrageous allowing a media firestorm to reverse the momentum we had been gaining going into our convention. The damage that caused is detrimental. Akin was McCaskill’s and the Democrat party’s hand picked candidate to be her opponent - apparently with good reason.

The NRSC and other party organizations already had announced they would not recognize or associate with that campaign given the politically toxic remarks - now you are surprised they are in fact not recognizing the campaign? Sarah Palin, Allen West, etc. all called on him to drop out as well.

Two years ago Cornball came out for SunTan Charlie Crist over Rubio in the Florida primary. I’ve got my differences with Rubio, but obviously if the NRSC was going to get involved in a primary at all (which they shouldn’t do), backing Crist over Rubio shows that they do not see electing conservatives as part of their core mission.

Since Akin as a congressman voted against some of the Republican backed statist programs like MediPill, he obviously would not fit in well with the mainstay of the GOP: Lamar Alexander, Olympia Snowe, Lindsey Graham, etc. Akin would be as unwelcome in their circle as Sarah Palin.

I spoke with the NSRC and was told the website had been changed to reflect Aiken as the Republican candidate.

I was also told that my irate message that Mr Aiken needed to be supported would be conveyed to Senator Cornan . The concept of not supporting a conservative is a damn terrible way to try to win the Senate. And on and on and on.......

Give them a call...... 202-675-6000

It’ll make you feel better.

I feel good because I’m guilty of not responding to their dozens of letters and uncounted e mails wanting money but it was actions such as this that convinced me to make my small contributions directly to candidates.

As of now, Akin is NOT omitted.

He only trails narrowly so he needs to be backed.
