STAMFORD -- The note is just five words and two numbers.
Randy Scott scrawled these five words and two numbers on a piece of paper on Sept. 11, 2001, while at work at Euro Brokers Inc. in the World Trade Center.
But if a picture is worth a thousand words, these five words and two numbers have changed the picture completely for Scott's family. Family members refer to it simply as "the note." The note that floated from the 84th floor of Two World Trade Center to chaotic streets below, and was tenderly preserved as it traveled from hand to hand and through time to reach them.
Denise Scott learned of her husband's message in August 2011, just weeks before the calendar marked a decade since he died in the World Trade Center's collapse.
For those 10 years, his family members believed he likely died instantly when United Airlines Flight 175 flew into the tower at 9:03 a.m., near the floors containing Euro Brokers offices.
The words of Denise and her children overlap as they consider how the note changed their oral history of Randy's final moments. Each delivers a piece of the agonizing account as though trying to spare the others.........
.......[Must read body of article]......
....Better to know the truth, even when it comes in the form of a message that took a decade to be delivered.
"It tells people the story of the day," Denise said.
In just five words and two numbers.

Thank God that our President
(1) Is unilaterally reducing our nuclear arms; and
(2) Ended the space shuttle program; and
(3) Re-tasked Nasa to focus on outreach to the Muslims; and
(4) Grew up anti-American pro-muslim; and
(5) righteously blames us (u.s.) for the 9/11 attacks
US forces are performing maneuvers with the Muslim Brotherhood. A nice Obama tribute to 9-11.
Wow... After seeing the DNC vote on God and Jerusalem, the way that so many folks on the left blame Americans for 9/11 does not seem so shocking. It’s not how they think though...
Don’t forget 9/11 is National Day Of Service
we are supposed to volunteer that day-
“(1) Is unilaterally reducing our nuclear arms”
I know he reduced our nuclear arms from 5,000 to 1,500 and plans by 12/31/2012 to be at 300.
We certainly won’t be A SUPERPOWER after this!!!
Who else has been reduced?
The Gorelick Wall needs to be mentioned again and again.
>> Dont forget 9/11 is National Day Of Service we are supposed to volunteer that day-
Campaigning against the jackass seems like the honorable thing to to.
“Dont forget 9/11 is National Day Of Service
we are supposed to volunteer that day-”
Could you imagine Muslims seeing this? Edward Longshanks (the English king in “Braveheart”) didn’t want to send his son to treat with William Wallace because “the mere sight of him would encourage an enemy to revolt”; could you imagine what message this sends to those who would attack us?
On a non-9/11 note, I think it is disturbing how there is a push to “require volunteering” for high schoolers to graduate (apparently those pushing the program don’t see the irnoy in that). Apparently working for wages shouldn’t suffice to be a formative experience for high school students...
a.) that jug eared freak at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is NOT my President, and until we see some real ID, he is only a ‘resident’ in public housing.
b.) nobody wanted Romney as our nominee this year, but he’s the only guy with a shot at defeating 0bama and it is amazing that there is even any discussion about the overwhelming urgency to get that filthy Communist Kenyan OUT of OUR White House.
>>The Gorelick Wall needs to be mentioned again and again.
Amen to that.
Yes: and still there are idiots who willvote for Obama.
Too stupid to see the handwriting on the wall.
OT on volunteering...
If you have kids who are “required” to “volunteer” try to get volunteer work for your church or synagogue to count for this requirement. Some school administrators will applaud you because they dislike the requirement, too. The far left will be pained by this because it meets the requirement, but doesn’t fit with their atheist sensibilities. Some may disallow it. If so, try to find some other volunteer activity that they dislike, maybe a pro-life charity.
Shouldn’t it start with “Praise Allah (may his name be blessed)” . . .
I'm definitely observing my day of service.
I'm spending most of the day reminding everyone that the koranimals are murdering savages. Both the active militant terrorists and the huge army of silent ones supporting them actively or through their silence.
Hussein's complicit support and promotion of islamic terrorism cannot be overlooked.
The 2001 killers are still among us, and massively continuing to lobby influence in DC both within the White House and congress.
That's my day of service : reminding American citizens that the 2001 killers are still here; unchanged and plotting.
Sounds like you will be putting your service to good use!
9/11 Never Forget
God Bless America!!!!!
“If you have kids who are required to volunteer try to get volunteer work for your church or synagogue to count for this requirement.”
That is exactly what I would do if this requirement was forced on us. I’ve also noticed that “volunteering” never seems to go as far as doing something for free that is normally done by a union hack...
