It’s little surprise that the pansy English are more concerned with the rights of murderous thugs than they are normal people. Did they expect him to defend himself against four thugs by surrendering himself to them and offering them tea? Then again, these are the same people who cowered and did nothing to stop the V2 rockets from scorching their land until America came along.
Let's not go overboard here.
Your knowledge of WW II is kinda limited, huh?
Huh? Doesn’t sound like the same WWII history I read.
We overran the launch sites and bombed the crap out of Peenemunde and Friedrichshafen, you pretentious wuss.
In any case: the V2 program was an expensive failure and a misallocation of materials that actually served to shorten the war in the Allies favour.
Seriously: you should open a history book instead of serially-masturbating in front of war-films.
"Better to keep silent, and let people think you are a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt".
I suggest you research the following names....
Air Marshall Hugh Dowding
Air Marshall Arthur Harris
Group Captain Douglas Bader
Wing Commander Guy Gibson VC
Wing Commander Leonard Cheshire VC
Admiral Sir John Tovey
Admiral Sir Phillip Vian
Admiral James Somerville
Field Marshall Sir Bernard Law Montgomery
Major General Sir Brian Horrocks
I could go on if you wish.....
Whatever the failings of today's Brits (and we Americans aren't what we used to be), the Brits of 1939-1945 were hardly cowering. They held the NAZI's by themselves for two years, and continued to fight a long and hard 7 years of war. Please refrain from attacks on the honorable dead.
>>> Then again, these are the same people who cowered and did nothing to stop the V2 rockets from scorching their land until America came along. <<<
You may want to read up on the Blitz, and The Battle of Britan before making such a sweeping generalization.
You really stepped in it this time...may I suggest history 101...this time stay awake!!!
There wasn't much that you could do to stop the V2's--the Patriot missile was decades away in the future. All you could do was to try to locate and attack the launch sites, which the Allies did as best they could.
Knowing what you are talking about is not one of your strong points, is it?
The first V-2 came in Sept 1944. By then the Brits were 'cowering' with the rest of the Allies in continental Europe. Get a clue and a grip.
