When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands, is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat that the US government is going to take their firearms.
And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands, which I often follow with the question, And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?

No, it looks like they’re using these agencies budgets to dry up supply, and drive up prices.
There’s still no evidence anybody’s getting any training.
Exactly.
People tend to forget that it is in our nature. Hundreds could be be killed... initially. Then, Flight 93 syndrome takes over. It's amazing how people will unite despite their differences in order to defeat a common enemy. The collective minds in government know this all too well so I just don't see it happening.
That initial assault went real well didn’t it?. Imagine that on a large scale. The atf assault squad would have been encapsulated by “neighbors” and eliminated. Large scale confiscation is not possible in this or most countrys
Fire is still a pretty good way to take out armored vehicles. They would probably have gotten a few
If things go down......your weapons will be confiscated.....no questions asked.
Cops who think like that will be in for a big surprise. Im willing to die for my rights because I want my daughter to know that her dad did everything he could for this country. All of my friends are ready if the SHTF.
The comments are all referencing *our* LEOs and military - and how THEY will react.
But what about I have read ALL the *foreign* military-like *troops* that have arrived into this country, russians, chinese, whatnot ? And training with ours.
Clearly the perps have already considered that ours will not go after their own, and have done the foreign mercenary thing. Doesn’t that change a rosey scenario into a NOT so.
I agree, because the last 4 years have angered so many—we know what the hell is going on; many people are unemployed due to this fraud in the WH and his policies to neuter this great country.
When you have little to lose (those of us without children and without work), you’re more free than the gubmint” realizes. And this “gubmint” has done everything it can to SEE to it that people are unemployed; little do they know, they’ve manufactured their opposing force. How ironic.
If you’re a Christian, you realize the enemy IS communism. And fighting it is our duty.
Excellent post, DesertRhino!!!
God, that is gut wrenching. He opened my eyes to the evil of socialism. His books should be mandatory reading from junior high on.
Well put, 'Two Kids' Dad', I couldn't have said it better myself.
Law enforcement simply cannot logistically pull off a massive national gun confiscation effort. They simply do not have the numbers, even with National Guard and Military reinforcements, to pull it off in a short period of time - it would take months and months to go door to door, especially in states where there is NO gun registration!
Unless the dictatorial authorities shut down all internet and telephone/cellular communications, word would circulate nationally very quickly, even if the lame stream media remained silent, after the first 24 - 48 hours of this gun confiscation effort amongst Patriots and likely by day three, you would see massive organized resistance to any future confiscation efforts most everywhere.
Like some posters have also pointed out, the families of the cops live amongst the public, as well as the families of that states National Guard members and would likely be targeted by organized resistance groups. If this massive gun confiscation effort was ever to be undertaken, these now organized Patriots could take the families of these cops and National Guardsmen into a sort of 'protective custody' to help ensure 'good behavior' by the cops or National Guardsmen towards the Patriots to the point where they refuse orders to confiscate any weapons from any Citizens, provide valuable intelligence to Patriot groups relative to future movements/plans of government gun confiscation efforts or even encouraging the cops/National Guardsmen to desert their jobs/posts in order to ensure their relatives in Patriot custody are not harmed.
Of course, if there is seriously any nationwide effort to confiscate guns under consideration, it wouldn't suprise me to see plans where all the families of cops, National Guardsmen and Active Duty Military moved into safe, onbase, guarded dependent housing just prior to the commencement of any effort at massive nationwide gun confiscation.
Article is bullcrap defeatism, I read it a while back.
Just remember, when/if “they” come for them
YOU ONLY NEED TO GET ONE...
Then I will die face down in the street in a pool of my own blood. But not before I make more than a few widows and orphans on my way to the great here after. You seem to forget that most of us have children, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews in the armed forces and the police forces of the United States; do you really think that orders are thicker than blood. I am an old man now; do you really think I am afraid of dieing, do you really think I have forgotten the trade I learned in 3rd Recon. To quote General Jackson “KILL EM, KILL EM ALL”. I will always choose to die on my feet, NOT ON MY KNEES!
Clearly the perps have already considered that ours will not go after their own, and have done the foreign mercenary thing. Doesnt that change a rosey scenario into a NOT so.
PTL, I do not know if you have ever heard of Freeper Travis McGee (Matthew Bracken). He is the author of a trilogy of books titled "Enemies: Foreign and Domestic" (EFAD). The third book of his EFAD trilogy, "Foreign Enemies and Traitors", is based on your scenario of a rogue U.S. Government having to bring in foreign mercenaries to force earthquake survivors and others into concentration camps after U.S. troops refused. I recommend you read his whole EFAD trilogy - all three books are good reads. Links to his Freeper Page and website are below:
A government will not compel people to give up their power until such government believes it has the strength and ability to do so.
What many here write is also true that the American government as it presently exists does not have the necessary power to force the citizens to disarm.
Laz: Why did I know that was you before I read the poster?
GITEM; heh, heh.
Oh Jack you have it so right.
When I was in college, I life-guarded after classes. One day I noticed a ridiculously ugly tattoo on one of the senior citizens that came to swim at night. I was so rude back then and I asked if she let her grand-kid write on her or something.
You can imagine my complete awe and disbelief when she told me she was a holocaust survivor. I will never forget how kind and patient she was with me. She answered my questions and shared her story with me for hours, and I know I must have stared at her like she was some sort of mythological creature. I was horrified by even the smallest details she shared with me, I was blown away by her deep unwavering faith, and I was humbled by her practice to always thank God for her blessings.
But the thing I remember most was when I asked her why her family and neighbors would so willingly walk down the streets to the trains that would take them to Auschwitz.
I can hear her say, “I was a Polish Jew and the government promised to protect us.”
At first they just had to register on a list. Then they just had to wear a ID. Next it was curfews and rules, but only for their own protection. She said when they were told to board trains, the Polish government promised it was to keep them safe and that they would be returned to their homes safely.
She said they trusted the government. Her name was Rose.
My daughter calls me a paleocon, I consider it a compliment.
