These are the results when registered voters are asked: "Suppose the presidential election were held today. If Barack Obama were the Democratic Party's candidate and Mitt Romney were the Republican Party's candidate, who would you vote for Barack Obama, the Democrat or Mitt Romney, the Republican?"
(Excerpt) Read more at gallup.com ...
Didn’t Dick(head) Morris say that the polls would show Mitt with a permanent 5-6 point lead after the GOP convention?
I think the ABR crowd might want to read the poll. A poll of adults is not a serious poll. This isnt even a registered voter poll.
This poll has more to do with DOJ suing Gallup then any thing else.

Yea but Romney is down in Rasmussen and Reuters as well. People can downplay Gallup because it’s ADULTS not even RV but the other two? Sounds like Obama got a bounce and after that horrible job report that was reported as such by most of the media? Wow..people must be in full idiot mode in this country.
its the clinton bounce- that’s all...as the economy goes down the crapper people will eventually realize clinton has nothing to do with this administration....that said Romney must lay out some plans quickly...
Poll respondents aren’t telling the truth. ESPECIALLY the slice of former 0bama voters referenced in the article.
The vote in November will show the Bradly effect showing up large - larger than even the proponents of this effect expect.
JMHO

Most of these polls are weighted more towards dems which has some affect.. I believe it is most likely it is even or more likely +1 or +2 Republicans.
Productive class and leecher class is about 50/50....
This election is going to be close. I think it will come down whether or not leechers are not especially lazy on election day in the battleground states.
If Romney thinks he can just let the bad economic news lift him to a win WITHOUT laying out how actual bad the numbers are for this country and offering SOME alternative, his ass is TOAST. Negative ads definitely help.
I wouldnt be surprised if Romney won the delegate count and Obama won the popular vote. Even though Obama is a massive prick he is still popular with the celebrities and the young people who want whatever they can get their hands on for free. Romney HAS to go out and explain these job numbers, all people are seeing is 8.1 percent unemployment, they think that number is a good thing, Romney and Ryan have to go on TV and say over and over again the ONLY reason why the number went down is because people quit looking for work. The REAL unemployment number is close to 12 percent
What’s the skew factor?
Actually, I think it did last time.. Polls had it +12 whites going to obama but actual vote it was +2 whites.. The reason obama was black, latino and college kids.. I just read that but I can’t remember.
did you see or hear ONE speech or comment from Romney or Ryan slamming the jobs report?
Romney made a speech in front of a big audience and talked all about it
“All have Romney at essentially 44. It is absolutely horrible at this point against this disaster of an incumbent”
I’m not surprised at all. Lokk at all the knowledgable idiots here at this conservative site that still want to spew crap about Romney. Whether her is a closet liberal or not; whether he is a real Christian or not; whether he is a real capitalist or not; etc etc etc.
Romney is our candidate, like it or not. No one else is going to win the election either Obama or Romney. Not voting allows a vote for Obama to go through and be counted. Voting for Romney will neutralized one of the idiotic votes for Obama.
So whatever your gripe is against Romney still go out and vote for him.
Please stop with this nonsense that we’ve been hearing about last election. The so-called Bradley effect only happened in one election as far as I can tell, and since the country has already elected a black man once why would there be ANY shame, embarrassment in doing it again?
You’re not making any sense with that old outdated mentality of “the Bradley effect.”
Why would Romney buy airtime in North Florida, when he’ll win that region overwhelmingly?
It would be like Obama running commercials in San Francisco.
Dukakis also led Bush in all polls until the final two weeks of the 1988 season.
Keep in mind this is a seven day rolling average. The horrible jobs report was just yesterday. Let a few more days pass to see what is really up. This doesn’t even really reflect much of 0bama’s speech impact yet.
I totally agree with you. Not one poll really came close to defining and calling out the 2010 wipeout of the Democrat Party!!! There is a lesson here for the Republican Party and Romney/Ryan!!! We are not only fighting the Obamabot machine, we are fighting the Obamabot media at every turn. Until Romney/Ryan gets it and stops taking weekends off, like this was some of country club campaign, they will never overtake Obama. Also the gloves must come off right now....and Romney/Ryan need to tear Obama’s political heart out!!! Both these guys are reminding me of Weak Sister John McCain!!! Let’s have some some real action now......you know, the kind that wins elections!!! Talk to to Rubio, Cruz, Jindal, Walker, etc.!!!
And.....remember American People, if Obama is re-elected, your can kiss the America of freedom, liberty, opportunity and pursuit of happiness goodbye, for yourselves, and, more importantly.......for all your children, grandchildren and their children to come. Shame on Romney and Ryan, basically taking this weekend off!!! Sad show, at best!!!
The new jobs report isn’t a factor in these polls. Don’t despair yet.
