Gallup is registered. But at this point, in this economy, Obama should be down 20 in any poll - adults, registered or likely.

Registered voters - and from Gallup, being sued by the Obama DOJ so I’m sure their polling results are completely unbiased and accurate. /sarc.

Expected bounce.

But one should recognize that the bounce after a candidates convention is not an accurate predictor of the final victor.

It’s going to be very, very close. Obama still can’t garner 50% of the vote, even among registered voters and with his convention bounce.

Not surprising. The DNC was masterful and aggressive compared to the weak, neutered, Obama-is-a-nice-guy-whose-policies-are-bad RNC. And Obama got a BIG assist from the media, who purposely distracted from the RNC with Issac, gave Obama a pass after Romney beat him to Louisiana, and refused to even cover the ugly God/Jerusalem chaos at the DNC.

Don’t buy into it. Let the rats buy it. Sit back with a cool beverage the day after and listen to them scream.
Not one poll had the biggest defeat for democrats just 2 years ago

These are the results when registered voters are asked: "Suppose the presidential election were held today. If Barack Obama were the Democratic Party's candidate and Mitt Romney were the Republican Party's candidate, who would you vote for Barack Obama, the Democrat or Mitt Romney, the Republican?" Those who are undecided are further asked if they lean more toward Obama or Romney and their leanings are incorporated into the results. Each seven-day rolling average is based on telephone interviews with approximately 3,050 registered voters; Margin of error is ±2 percentage points.

As to the results, I have to echo the "ugh" above. How that convention could register a bounce, I dunno. I hope Romney Ryan has a big-gun strategy and is willing to use it.

I doubt it. Rasmussen has Obama up 2 with likely voters and so this would jive as registered normally give Ds 2-3 point cushion.

They must all want ladders of opportunity and a world where everyone plays by the same rules.

Which Barack Hussein Obama will most certainly not give them.

I say to the morons of America, whom are great in number, re-elect the King of Sand and seal the fate that you most certainly deserve.

Rasmussen O 46 R 44
Gallup O 49 R 45
Reuters O 46 R 44

All have Romney at essentially 44. It is absolutely horrible at this point against this disaster of an incumbent.

I just refuse to believe that the American people have decided that they want to live under Communism. I just refuse to believe it. Here you have a HORRIBLE jobs report(If this were President Bush the Dems would have smeared him left and right for it meanwhile Obama gets a pass) and you have Dem delegates BOOING God and Israel and Obama isn’t down 20?? I just dont get it..are people seriously THAT stupid! As long as Romney wins the electoral college I dont care what the national poll says. It could be that Romney wins the delegate count and Obama wins the popular vote
