I have long felt that the bureaucrats' number manipulations usually result in garbage. I therefore look for the "not seasonally adjusted" numbers.
The BLS Employment Situation report for July 2012 included the ESTABLISHMENT DATA Table B-1b. Employees on nonfarm payrolls by industry sector and selected industry detail, not seasonally adjusted [In thousands]
While the seasonally adjusted numbers issued by the BLS said there were 163,000 new jobs... The Table B-1b indicated that there were 1,200,000 jobs lost!
Noting that was quite an adjustment, I was eager to see what the Table B-1b showed for today.
Search as I might I have been unable to find that table today...
I guess the Government "to which we all belong" has determined that we may not be able to handle the truth...
TOPICS: News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: adjusted; seasonally

Non seasonally adjusted on the left:
Table B-1
Now if you look at the not yet finalized number for July it declined to 132,840,000 from 132,868,000 published last month. A loss of 28,000,000 that was not reported in the non seasonally adjusted stats.
current empsit always here There are links for all the current tables on that page.

FYI:
The blue line is a close approximation of all those i civilian labor force who are unemployed and underemployed plus those moved our of the civilian labor force who need a job.

ROFL. Talk about a freudian slip.
I was so busy making certain the links worked that all those extra zeroes slipped right by me.
Thanks for the correction

Interesting...
Is it possible they combined it with table B1 ? Table B1 shows a non-adjusted gain of 252k over July 2012 ( Both July & August are listed as “P”reliminary)
I wonder why the OB admin doesn't use the non-adjusted numbers.

Well done.
I was so busy looking for the second table that I failed to read the B-1 carefully.
So my tin foil is probably a little too thick.

EVERYTHING Obama uses has been adjusted.
To: stylin19a
Yes I believe it is possible.
I am guilty of not reading the B-1 carefully as I was so interested in the B-1b table which is now redundant.

As long as the media and 40% of the American people continue to grade Obama on a curve, he will blame everyone else. This is why his grade is I which should turn into F in November.
