Link only - I Hate the Democratic National Convention, This Is Terrible
Welcome to the REAL Southern Decadence! Ha!
If you didn’t watch the utube of the God vote yesterday, you should.
Absolutely, both sides say similar things. But show me any hate from the GOP convention. Dems must be really unhappy people ... that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
“I guess we’ll start with the hotel. Ours is a ****hole. A $250-a-night mildewy rathole for truckers and prostitutes on a decimated strip mall. Charlotte is the armpit of the south, a glorified half-dead exurb with some tall buildings planted in the middle. There are skeezy-looking tattoo shops everywhere, and none of the stores are open past midnight.”
LOL
You’re right..I did watch the re-broadcast of the vote.
didn’t realize until tonite who Obambi is. he is black! and he is lincolnesque! He is Black Lincoln. Says he goes to his knees like Lincoln cuz got nowhere else to go.
Inspire us, Vandalia man! haven’t been there since ‘84. Vandalia. Felt like I was visiting the 1950’s.
boycotting all things Romney and CT-5 rorabacker. Linda is a corporate campaign. What is a guy to do in the “most crucial election in the history of the world”? Do tax-planning? Ahhh ... the AL East is a dogfight!!
Inspire us Vandalia Impy!!! Inspire us!
This is why we should tell people to READ Obama’s speech. His cadence and rhetoric make the speech appear gallant. It was anything but. Read the speech and see how empty it is of solutions, facts, stats and policies that actually work. He thrilled the lemmings and the moron vote but I doubt that he captured back any Indies or Reagan Dems.
Where’s Vandalia?
the last good democrat was grover cleveland
The real problem is those#$%^$ get worse every year.
Spoken like an up-stater.
The third capitol building (18241836), also built in Vandalia, was the scene of most of the service of Abraham Lincoln as a member of the Illinois state legislature.
This convention seems to have the same vague feeling of disorder and catastrophe-waiting-to-happen as did the 1968 ‘rat convention, when protesters battling police in the streets of Chicago late into the night turned to be the prevailing recollection most people carried into the fall election, leading to Hubert Humphrey’s defeat - or maybe it’s just wishful thinking......
Knight’s Inn is not reputed to be a cushy hotel. I wonder if the owners wore turbans. Bad as Charlotte may have been..it could have been worse..say Detroit:)
“The Knights Inn was the worst hotel I have ever seen, and I’ve stayed in many bad motels in my life. Two guys were dealing drugs in the room next to me, and a prostitute was working out of the parking lot. And this was in the early afternoon. The room itself was dirty, full of other people’s stuff, etc.
I have never requested a hotel change in 3 years at NR. This was the first time I felt absolutely compelled.
LOL..nightmare all the way around.
That hurt me in my gut. I can just see RABBI Debbie Wasserman leading prayer. Sheesh
As for the convention program, one word. "JUVNILE."
bobbleheads.
and that is when you know why the Democrats are catering to the moron vote like Rush Limbaugh said.
Just bobbleheads.
Happiness, maybe, but the TSA will likely fight over jurisdiction over 'feelings'....
Oh right, I knew we had a former capital city (2 actually, the first one was practically in Missouri and pretty much swallowed by the mighty Mississip) but I didn’t know the capital was still outside Springfield by the time Abe was elected to the legislature. The Springfield chamber of commerce had worked hard to tie Abe to that city.
Vandalia. I was there in Jan ‘84 and think I went back in Nov ‘84 while going past on I-70. My favorite place in ILL. I hope it hasn’t changed since my visits.
Except for a drive to Pittsburgh-Cleveland in ‘95, I haven’t been out of the northeast since ‘85. I’ve just been too busy to travel. I’ve just got to get out more often.
you ILL freepers got to plan a group road trip to Dubuque, IA for the next caucuses. IMPY map, shows he been to Alaska, but never MICH or IOWA.
