The two surveys reported roughly the same private-sector job creation in July. But they have diverged sharply in previous months. I can't imagine why..............

No real recovery until the The Kenyan Marxist and his claque are thrown out of the W.H. and Pelosi, Reid, & Co. are booted from power in the Congress. Unfortunately, Milf Romney (RINO-MA) is from the GOP-e wing of the ‘Pub party and will start cutting deals with the ‘RATS as soon as he's sworn in.

A drop in unemployment claims the same week as Obama’s second descent from Mount Obamatopia.
What a coinky-dink!

We knew this was coming. We called this. They will lie, outright, as Debbie Wasserman Shultz ROUTINELY does, to try to put Obama back in power.
The numbers are in for sharp revisions on November 7, though.

AP just trying to garnish the DNC convention with a sprinkling of "good news" for The Won.
Revisions will be out next week.

The four-week average, a less volatile measure, ticked up to 371,250. Unemployment benefit applications are a measure of the pace of layoffs.
If the 4 week average ticked up that must mean the previous 3 weeks were higher than claimed last week.

I’m sensing a very mild improvement in both business and jobs and attribute it to the gathering hope that Romney will win the election. I think that’s why you see the stock market climbing. The smart money is placing their bets now before October comes.
If Romney appears to be winning, look for the markets to grow and more jobs to be offered. If Obama appears to be winning, look for a gradual slide into Recession II followed by Stimulus III and QE III.

a private survey showed businesses stepped up hiring in August.

If the 4 week average ticked up that must mean the previous 3 weeks were higher than claimed last week. Or that the week that dropped off the previous 4-week average (5 weeks ago now) was lower than 365,000. I didn't look it up -- just visualizing the numbers in my head.

"Im sure the new jobs are all high tech or executive positions." The sad thing is, regardless of who is in office next year, the semi skilled factory jobs will never return to America. The global economy and technology will see that America's so called middle class wealth stays redistributed overseas.

I got a job in today that I think was funded with Porkulus money.
Does anybody know if they stashed a couple hundred billion to spend right before the election?
