The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 48% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns 45% of the vote. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

These updates are from nightly interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, virtually all of the interviews for today’s update were completed before the prime-time coverage of the Democratic National Convention last night

One big potential problem with a Dem bounce from Thursday night is the looming jobs report on Friday morning.

We’ll have to see how much the media gushing love fest over their god 0bama affects the polls. In my opinion, it’s really going to come down to the debates, and then whether the American public really believes 0bama can pull us out of the economic malaise.

If Romney is tied or up after the debates, it will be a Romney win as people realize an 0bama regime means more malaise. If 0bama comes out of the debates with a four-five point lead, grab your gun or your gin. You will need them.

Or

The logistics of busing in enough, to fill the stadium, so that Obama is not embarrassed, was too much.

He did get a bounce and America is begining to “get” it.

On the OTHER hand, if Romney gets elected, THEN what??

Obama isn't the disease - he's just a symptom.

The DISEASE is the number of Americans who BOUGHT and CONTINUE to buy his socialist philosophies.

We AlSO need to do several OTHER things:

1) TAKE BACK the schools.

The Marxist teachers who hate God, hate America and hate everything western civilization stands for, have TOO long been permitted to use the classrooms as podiums to expound their theories and bankrupt impressionable young minds.

2) TAKE BACK the Churches

The Methodist and Episcopalian Church hierarchies, among several others, have been too long allowed to use the PULPIT as an sounding board for non-religious teachings which echo of “Liberation” theology and other aberrations.

3) GET MORE CONSERVATIVES into Congress!!

Romney will need CLOSE supervision and oversight if we are lucky enough to get him into office. Look at how Bush II wandered off the reservation if he was ever on it.

4) DO something to save the shrinking Middle Class.

The economy and the American private sector need to have a government which EXPEDITES and ENCOURAGES investment, expansion, hiring and development by REDUCING unnecessary regulations and retaliating against foreign countries which do not play on an equal playing field with American businesses.

We MUST bring MORE people from the lower economic classes into the Middle Class, not diminish the Middle Class by dumping more people into the bottom economic rungs.

The BEST security for America and for Free Enterprise is a LARGE, GROWING, and STRONG Middle Class.

The debates are going to be tough. The Rat “moderator” will be out for Romney blood. He better be prepared because it is going to be BRUTAL! It will be a Romney roast with the moderator doing the roasting while propping Obama as a saint and allowing him to appear above the fray.

Agreed.

#1 and #2: vote with your feet/don't feed the beast. No Christian or conservative should be sending thier children to the atheistic, Marxist public schools. (Before you say "my child's school is different!" go check to see if it actually is different. It probabaly isn't, no matter how nice Miz Rambosham seems on PTC day. Let the liberals teach their twaddle to empty classrooms.

Likewise, apostate churches will wither away if their cashflow is cut off. Most mainline Protestant churches have nearly depleted their endowments already. If the plate dries up as well, they will blow away like dust in the wind. And who in their right mind really wants to send their kids off to "Celebrate Diversity" at church camp anyway? It doesn't matter that your Aunt Bessie's name is on a pew or that your ancestors are buried out back. Kick the dust from your feet as you leave and find a church with a living faith.

I think it was a bad idea to have the RNC the week before the DNC. Doing this caused the wind to be taken out of the sails of any momentum Romney/Ryan took out of the RNC as the DNC now has center stage and by tradition, the opponents need to take a back seat.

Having the conventions at least a couple weeks apart would have allowed the Romney/Ryan team a window of time to build on their convention message before the DNC and perhaps get more of a "bounce."

That all said, the real campaign starts this weekend and I can't wait for that. With the conventions over, the Romney/Ryan campaign has an advantage in money and I would think an advantage in enthusiasm.

Unfortunately that is the system. One election year the Dems go first and the GOP goes 2nd, the next election it is reversed. We just happened to have the bad luck of going 1st this year.

I understand the RNC having to go first but I question having it the week before the DNC. In 1980, the RNC was held July 14-17, almost a full month before the DNC had theirs (August 11-14).

So Reagan had nearly a full month of campaigning before having to give the spotlight to the DNC. This time around, the media coverage went straight to Charlotte before the last balloons were swept off the stage in Tampa.

Also, not many hurricanes hit the U.S. in July.

Yep, the debates will be BRUTAL. Here’s a glimpse:

Q: Mr. Romney; You’re a tax-cheating felon who murders women and defenseless animals. How can you look in the mirror and think you should be President?

or

Q: Mr. President 0bama; It’s obvious to everyone that you have done an outstanding job under the most challenging circumstances of any President since FDR. Tell us, what words of encouragement do you have to inspire us to follow you?

“Obama isn’t the disease - he’s just a symptom.

The DISEASE is the number of Americans who BOUGHT and CONTINUE to buy his socialist philosophies.”

The real disease is “the long march through the institutions.” What you listed is the result of it’s long insidious success. This wasn’t by accident. It was planned.

This is up one point from yesterday for Romney. The Democratic convention so far is creating a negative bounce for Obama.
