Democrats are using one of Barack Obama's strong suits, that voters believe he understands the problems of ordinary people, to trump his weakest suit, the economy.

Michelle Obama played those cards with force in a speech declaring that after four years as president, her husband is still the man who drove a rust-bucket on early dates, rescued a coffee table from the trash and knows the struggles of everyday Americans because he lived them in full.

What a joke! He never went to a regular public elementary school, never attended a Christian Sunday School, never played little league baseball, never played football in high school, never had a lemonade stand or fast food job to make spending money, never had to worry about getting into college, never worked his way through college waiting tables, never had to worry about money to buy a home because he was friends with a crook who gave him the money, and never had to work hard for election to public office because he slandered his competition and drove them from the race. Everything has come so easy for this unAmerican American. He has absolutely nothing in common with us, no matter what his drama queen wife says.

I have no doubt that he knows the meaning of “struggle”. There is no more marxist/leninist/communist word than “struggle”.

Exactly. This dope never worried about anything. He had everything handed to him and continued to have everything handed to him.

Even though Romney is rich, he seems to know the concerns of average people much better than Obama given the stories about how Romney constantly was helping his neighbors and members of his church and community.

What a terrific story Michelle told last night. Michelle's Dad worked every day to provide for his family. Despite the family's financial struggles Michelle attended the best schools and succeeded in the American dream.

Now my confusion starts what is it that the Obama team wants to change? Does Michelle feel her Dad should not have needed to work?
