The platform also calls for comprehensive immigration reform, citing the Dream Act, legislation that would allow children brought to the U.S. by undocumented-immigrant parents to get legal status if they go to college or join the military, would no longer deport some young adults brought to the U.S. illegally as children.
While the platform promises to preserve Americans Second Amendment right to own and use firearms, it also says that the right to own firearms is subject to reasonable regulation, such as restoring the ban on assault-style weapons and strengthening background checks.

I’m totally baffled as to why they didn’t hire Cheap Trick to open the convention up with “Highway to Hell”.

Who would have thought a few years ago that the democratic party would turn into the party of queer marriage and baby murdering on demand. If, by "a few years ago", you mean the 1960s, I'd say, very few. It's been as plain as the nose on your face since at least the 1970s.
p.s. Around here, we call them the Democrat party - not the Democratic party.

I wonder if the LifeLock company agrees with their logo being displayed on that jumbotron? They advertise on all the big conservative talk shows.

They are hypocrites since by simple logic they shouldn’t even exist after being aborted.
I like the platform...abort Dems!

Im totally baffled as to why they didnt hire Cheap Trick to open the convention up with Highway to Hell. Probably because the song was written and recorded by AC/DC.

Maybe the best money the RNC could spend would be to promote the DNC platform....
For Faggotry
Pro Abortion
Punishing success
Anti-business
National healthcare
Four more years of the Empty Suit, Empty Chair
yeah, that’ll work!

Its aimed at the party’s Far Left.
It will be ignored for the general election since it would offend the middle.
American party platforms don’t have the weight do in European party congresses, thank Heaven!
But while the Republicans are FDR liberals, the Democrats are out and out Marxists.

Clinton will be more subtle, but he’s definitely going to stab obastard in the back. Politically, of course...

OOPSY. Well, Cheap Trick could have played their song, "I Want You To Want Me". Seems appropriate.
