NC Gov. Perdue warns of ‘coat hangers in the bath tub’ if pro-life movement gets its way [VIDEO]

On Monday’s edition of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” broadcast live from Charlotte, N.C., North Carolina Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue went out of her to blast Republicans and conservatives for their positions on social issues.

“May I make a point?” Perdue said at the site of the 2012 Democratic National Convention. “I’ve never seen a bunch like this here so against regulation, Chris. They want less, less, less. And then it comes to a woman in the bedroom and they want to control everything. I don’t get that.”

Noted women’s issues expert and “Hardball” host Chris Matthews went on to ask Perdue if she thought people understand what it means to support an abortion ban, that such a ban would drive the practice of abortion underground.

“They’re going to go somewhere to end the pregnancy if they can afford it,” Perdue said. “But for poor women you’ll be back to the days of coat hangers in the bathtub and you’ll see women die. No, choice is a huge issue. I”m old enough to think that war was fought.”

Matthews then asked if the North Carolina governor was “surprised” to see Romney suggest he wanted to rid the judiciary of “liberal judges” and ultimately “ram through an end” to Roe v. Wade.

“That’s the end game in every state in America,” she said. “That’s right out of Karl Rove’s playbook. We know that and we see what’s happened in Texas. We’ve seen what has happened all over the country. People have got to stand up. Women have to understand that it might be their daughter or their granddaughter who’s raped. And there’s no such thing as legitimate rape. Rape is a rape, and that young woman should have a choice about what to do with her body and her life.”

What garbage! Nathanson sold his abortion mill business while still an atheist. He and his wife became pro-lifers and took all the proceeds of sale to create the Bern-Adele Foundation to fund pro-life efforts, THEN converted to Catholicism. His abortion mill operations (the Center for Reproductive and Sexual Health or CRASH) may have aborted 250,000 or more while he was a pro-abort and, as an abortionist, he had killed 60,000 all BEFORE he became a Roman Catholic, converted by life and Fr. John McCloskey of Opus Dei and baptized in 1996 by John Cardinal O'Connor of New York.

The lies were those of the despicable Lawrence Lader ringleader of NARAL. When Nathanson served on NARAL's board, he decided to quit that because listening to Lader talk about Catholics was like what it must have been like to listen to Hitler on the subject of Dr. Nathanson's fellow Jews.

If you cannot source your fantastic lie or distortion or factless assertion that he performed ANY abortions after his baptism into the Catholic Church, much less 75,000 of them, you owe his memory and your fellow FReepers an apology.

Oh, and while Dr. Nathanson was guilty of MANY abortions, he was hardly "the Father of abortion." The Hippocratic Oath (Google and Wikipedia are your friends) of Greece in the late 5th century B.C. apparently deemed it necessary that medical doctors of that pagan era forego involvement in abortion. Abortionists were convicted at the Nuremberg trials of their abortions as "crimes against humanity" showing that Hippocrates' common sense still prevailed in the late 1940s before the world went nuts for baby-killing.

They do abortions in people’s bedrooms now?

We don’t want to control people’s bedrooms, we want to prevent people murdering other people.

All this time I thought that it was coat hangers in the back alley, not the bathtub. Perdue must be making this up!

Unfortunately for Perdue, the very simple truth of the matter is that life begins at the moment of conception. Weasel wording by lawyers does not change that basic scientific fact.

Perdue should be truthful and put forth a law that gives women the right to murder their children, rather than continue to lie. Democrats are doing all they can to help poor women kill their children. Today we have 55 million dead children, one heart stopped, one heart was broken. That "war" was not fought as Perdue claims; she is on the wrong side of the truth.

Why are they so picky about the way they want to butcher babies? Doesn’t make sense to me.

NC Gov. Perdue warns of ‘coat hangers in the bath tub’ if pro-life movement gets its way

Versus ~53,000,000 deaths of unborn babies and sometimes the mothers if the pro-abortion movement gets its way? Oh, wait, they've gotten their way. The total number of murders from any cause, excluding abortions, since 1968 is about 800,000, including both genders as perpetrators. So the pro-abortion movement has been responsible for 66 times more homicides over four decades. The Democrats talk about a war on women. They're using the wrong preposition. Total number of casualties of combatants in WWI was under 10,000,000. For WWII it was between 20-25,000,000. This was the total of both enemy and friendly combatants. Abortion in the United States alone has resulted in a number of "enemy" deaths that vastly exceeds the totals for all military combatants in both world wars. Opposition to abortion is a war ON women? Please. Pro-abortion is better termed the war BY women on the succeeding generation.

They use code rather than plain English because the plain language version won’t let them hide the truth.

And there’s no such thing as legitimate rape.

But there is such a thing as a despicably wicked and deceptive governor, Bev, such as yourself, who would justify the deaths of 53,000,000 by appealing to the specter of rape.
