Lance Armstrong is guilty. There’s no doubt except those in fairy tale land.

I’d love to know how the Chinese are getting by with it. I am convinced they are doping.

One of the most interesting PBS specials I ever saw:

I assumed for years that Lance wasn’t clean, but I did enjoy watching him race. At that level of racing, I bet there were only a handful who weren’t juiced.

Having said that, he is a cheat, period.

I think he would have gotten away with it, if not for his personality. What gets me in this whole situation, is how it seems EVERY person who has rode with him, or worked for him, HATES HIM. He must be a real ass in person. I’m sure some were just jealous, but my God, that doesn’t explain the actions of all the others.

As long as the money in pro sports is as excessive as it is, there will always be cheaters, always.

That’s probably a pretty good story for people who subscribe to the Australian....for the rest of us, not so much.

"The tests are easy to beat. We're way, way ahead of the tests.

It's possible and likely that they all cheat. So why strip one cheater of his titles if it means rewarding another?

"Even the dimmest need spend only a millisecond researching what USADA have on Armstrong to know it is direct evidence, not hearsay."

And what evidence is that? And why did it take so many years AFTER he won seven in a row to produce this direct evidence? Did the USADA withhold all the "real" tests where Lance was clearly "positive" for doping? Doesn't the fact that he was tested HUNDREDS of times during the time of his racing and was never found to be cheating put into question EVERY SINGLE TEST GIVEN TO EVERY OTHER WINNER OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE?

How does this not invalidate ALL previous wins of ALL racers?

If Lance cheated then EVERYONE could have cheated so we can either conclude the race has never been legitimate or just accept the results as they are and move on.

What a joke this is. If Lance cheated NO CREDIBLE EVIDENCE EXISTED AT THE TIME TO PROVE HE DID. Lance Armstrong remains the greatest cyclist ever to live, period.

I’m a fan, therefore I don’t believe he’s guilty.

I’m also a Elvis fan, therefore I don’t believe he was a druggie!

The USADA gang needs to lay out their evidence, and make sure it falls within the scope of their own rules. So far, I have seen neither, although this article does lay out more direct charges of failing tests.

I have no dog in this hunt, but from where I sit, USADA appears to have violated their own rules in order to “strip” him of titles (over which they apparently do not have authority). One such rule is their “statute of limitations”, as I understand the situation.

Beyond the abuse of power represented by such behavior on part of USADA (if true), I couldn’t care less whether Armstrong keeps his titles. But abuse of authority always gets to me!

To compare an accusation of cheating with an accusation of murder reveals a mindless and unreasoning bias that takes too much pleasure in retaining.

If the doping tests are so easy to beat one might wonder why everyone doesn’t beat them.

Having been the target of false accusations of serious wrong doing I can appreciate the frustration and futility of trying to counter the endless smears.

Don’t care one way or the other about Armstrong. I used to enjoy watching the tour. Now I don’t.

They didn’t destroy Armstrong, they destroyed the sport.

Kinda like OLD NASCAR vs the gawd awful thing they have now.

Hope everyone is safe and happy.

BTW...If I ain’t happy, yunz ain’t safe.

Just sayin’.

What's with your obsessive infatuation with Lance Armstrong anyway? You're starting to give me the creeps....

Instead of posting another Lance Bash, why don't you address the comments made to you on your previous thread?

Give it up Mikey, Lance isn't going to buy you a bike shop no matter how much you publicly hate him........

(1) Must cheat to win,

(2) For the sake of your fervent fans, don’t get caught, dude!

where is the trial?

the USADA never revealed anything to the public.

guilty or innocent.

There should be a trial where the evidence can be examined in the light of day.

PO45, where are you? Charges have been made and you’re obligated to answer them or be considered guilty as charged.

Lance Armstrong could be guilty as hell on all counts, and I’d still say that an anti-doping organization that takes seven to thirteen years to find and punish the guilty is to all intents and purposes useless at doing the job.
