If you want a near perfect encapsulation of how the Obama campaign is leaning on incompetent partisans masquerading as "independent" media fact checking organizations to do their dirty work, I strongly encourage you to read today's article in the New York Times, "Obama Team Sharpens Attacks on Rivals’ Character." While the article is a far too credulous regarding the fact checker response to Paul Ryan's speech, it does contain this gem:
Mr. Obama this week, for the first time, entered the fray. Campaigning on Tuesday on college campuses in Iowa and Colorado, he told thousands of supporters not to believe the opposition’s attacks because, “how do I put this nicely? They will just fib.” “Sometimes they just make things up. But they’ve got a bunch of folks who can write $10 million checks, and they’ll just keep on running them,” he said. “I mean, somebody was challenging one of their ads — they made it up — about work and welfare. And every outlet said this is just not true. And they were asked about it and they said — one of their campaign people said, ‘We won’t have the fact-checkers dictate our campaign. We will not let the truth get in the way.’”
Mr. Obama was referring, as many other critics of the Romney campaign have, to a comment that its pollster, Neil Newhouse, made to reporters at the Republican convention on Tuesday, dismissive of those faulting the campaign’s television ads. What Mr. Newhouse actually said was, “These fact-checkers come to those ads with their own sets of thoughts and beliefs. We’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers.”
Mr. Newhouse did not say, “We will not let the truth get in the way.”

My (elderly) mom gets SO upset when she hears Obama talking about pretty much anything. It’s gotten to the point that when she comes to me, all upset, to tell me about the latest pronouncement from Obama, I just ask her one question: “Mom, were his lips moving?” She knows what that means. If she persist, I repeat ... “Were his lips moving?”
Pretty sad & totally disgusting when you know that EVERYTHING out of the guy’s mouth (Dems, too) is a lie.

I caught the last portion of a CNN reader-ette giving a report on Ryan’s (IIRC) speech. She said that the fact-checkers said Ryan was wrong.
There was where her report ended. She didn’t say ‘what’ was incorrect or what would have been correct. She just left the ‘Ryan was wrong’ hanging, as she went on to other news.
I wouldn’t put it past Obamanazi to declare martial law just before the election. Reason? He knows he will lose. Result? One hell of a revolution.
He will just go away. He will blame the evil white man then fade off. He has the staying power of Milli Vanilli.

I said it in 2008 and I still stick by it. That is what he plans, he knows in the next month things are going to get even worst for him. He knows that people are starting to wake up. He knows he is going to get blown out. He knows the polls which say Romney is only up 2-3 points really mean Romney is up 6-10 points. He is not going to relinquish power that easy. He wants a crisis so he can declare a national emergency. This is and has been my thought since I started following this Commie Rat in 2008.
The first time President Obama lies in the debates, Mr. Romney should simply state “Liars lie, it’s what they do routinely, why should anyone believe anything you or your campaign spokespeople say Mr. President?”
