Team Obama promises it will fill every one of the seats in Charlottes mammoth football stadium Thursday night when President Obama closes the Democratic National Convention with a speech accepting his partys nomination.
For weeks, Democrats have been concerned about filling Bank of America Stadium, home to the NFLs Carolina Panthers. They feared a devastating image of an enthusiasm gap if Obama spoke to empty upper decks at the venue.
But the Obama campaign says its got it covered, and that all 73,778 of the stadiums seats will be spoken for. The campaign also insists this success will showcase a ground operation that will help Obama win North Carolina for a second cycle in a row this November. Were confident well be full, Jen Psaki, the traveling Obama press secretary, told The Hill late last week. We have a great ground operation in North Carolina and weve registered more voters than any other state.
Our goal is to leave North Carolina better than we came in, Psaki added.

Just having ALL the PUBLIC UNION members, (WE PAY THEIR SALARIES AND PENSIONS AND HEALTH CARE), will fill the stadium!!! Just count the BUSSES because they can’t figure out how to get someplace unless someone gets them on a bus......Rallies, Church, and Voting.
Last I heard, they were giving away tickets in bars. Maybe they are offering free beer. Isn’t it sad for Obama when filling a football stadium becomes something that he strives for and brags about. How the worm has turned in four years time!
Are they bringing prisoners in? ;-)
Well, they were giving free tickets away in a couple of bars, one in Atlanta and one in Macon, GA. If I had to guess, that trend was probably being repeated elsewhere.
Free tee shirts and hats, free lunch, free posters, free gas money for thier cars, free rent, everyone attending will be paid under the table with an assortment of free stuff. Praise the lord!
That was my exact first thought. I read that they've been handing them (tickets) out in bars, au gratin. ;)
Getting free tickets in a bar and driving 375 miles one way to sit out in the rain to listen to a blow hard you see every day on tv are two different things. :-)
I predict empty chairs, and plenty of them.
250 miles one way
Lol
Besides Earth, Wind, and Fire that sounds like a horrible lineup you couldn't pay me to skip work for that.
Need workers for DNC events (Charlotte)

Actually Mary J. Blige can actually sing and has a hell of a voice.
And EW&F’s “Fantasy” was one of my “romancing” songs back in my wild college days........
Just wanted to bump this thread back to the top. We can laugh about how confident O-hole was about filling 74,000 seats.
