Feel lucky, punk? When Republicans chose Tampa as the site for the 2012 national convention, they didnt do it for the weather, obviously. They saw Florida as a key to their hopes of winning the presidential election and hoped to make an impact on voters with their week-long argument for Republican control of the White House. According to a snap poll from Survey USA of 754 registered voters who watched the final night of the convention, they may have switched 10% of the vote with the effort:

GO CLINT!
You have MADE MY DAY with this post!
Thank you FL!
Mitts gotta turn Clint loose in some TV ads explaining the Pub plan for saving Medicare and Social Security and run them nonstop, especially in FL, AZ and NV. Key excerpts from Clints speech would also make great TV ads.
Think every speech on the stump should have an empty chair and teleprompter on stage to continue to represent B Hussein O. Keep digging it in.
I agree. Keep the pressure up.
Indeed yes. But let me stress this.
It is distasteful to most ‘right-thinking’ people to ‘use their tactics against them’.
I get that.
In reality, it’s not ‘their tactics’...because we won’t have to resort to LIES.
That’s the difference-maker.
(well, that...AND our stuff IS funny, precisely because it is based in truth)
I can’t be the first one to observe this - FR is the FORT KNOX of “our” - conservative - humor.
Hello? GOP? Are you listening?
Use it already willya?
No sooner said than done ... see #22.
:o)
Eastwood is a veteran performer who has worked, quite successfully, on both sides of the camera. He knows what is effective.
GMTA! :)
“Vindication”???
It was downright brilliant.
“I hope the Romney campaign gets Eastwood to narrate some ads.”
For sure! And everytime the Rats complain, the Conservative and GOP PACS should run another one. I love it.
#InvisibleObama was sighted at my birthday party, although I fear he was squished in #TheChair during musical chairs. http://bit.ly/Oc2eVI
"This Seat's Taken !!!
Love this - where did you pull it from!
"Lawn"?
"If there were one around here, I'd tell you to get off it"
I agree - Absolutely Brilliant!!! I hope some of our creative types will expand and capitalize on this ..... using “the empty chair” in ads, bumper stickers, etc.
I think Romney’s approach so far has been perfect - don’t back off and apologize - embrace it and shove it right back at them (ie... Bain Capital, Medicare, his faith, etc.) I hope this trend continues and includes Clint Eastwood....
One of the ladies in my office is completely non-political and thought it was great!
The other woman in the office is one of those ignorant/naive Democrats who just believe what they’re told to believe by the MSM. She has been silent for weeks. That may be because she saw what Obamacare did to our health insurance rates.
I disagree. I watched it twice. First time I thought it was spontaneous. Second time, I decided I was watching a masterful actor and director with 60 years experience in a very skillful performance.
I was holding my breath there a bit as I know other FReepers were as well, because we thought he might lose it at any moment. No way. That was part of the performance. But if he really had lost it, it would have indeed been a disaster.
