I noticed that as it happened then I wondered if I was listening to the context incorrectly but this thread confirms that it was not just me.

I think he knew he got it backwards. I saw it in his face. But when nobody mentioned it I thought it was me listening wrong and that he was trying to describe how Obama thinks things should be.

Considering the clear heart and meaning of Rubio’s speech, and I thought it was really good, and I don’t really think I like Rubio all that much at this point, only a petty, little maggot would do that, so I fully expect the democrats to do exactly that.

But such an action will only hurt them. Rubio came across very well.

Was it a legitimate gaffe? If so, stage hook time, depress his polling by trashing him nonstop and withhold funding for his reelection. It's the Republican way.
