I noticed that as it happened then I wondered if I was listening to the context incorrectly but this thread confirms that it was not just me.

I think he knew he got it backwards. I saw it in his face. But when nobody mentioned it I thought it was me listening wrong and that he was trying to describe how Obama thinks things should be.

Was it a legitimate gaffe? If so, stage hook time, depress his polling by trashing him nonstop and withhold funding for his reelection. It's the Republican way.

greatest speech of the night! Romney actually did a very good job also, and i was impressed by those that gave us a glimpse of romney’s compassion.

I could only think, what will barry counter with? will he tell us how he held the hand of a community organizer during an abortion?

I caught the gaffe the minute he made it, and it just confirmed my low opinion of Rubio’s conservative credentials. I think that he is a RINO, and his true intentions came out, just like with his version of the DREAM ACT.

I heard it too. Didn’t match with his point. But e is a genuinely good speaker and obviously his mouth was faster than his brain. Better an ok and obvious flub than reading corpsman as corpse man and not knowing anything was wrong, twice.
