Gov. Mitt Romney's campaign toasted its top donors Wednesday aboard a 150-foot yacht flying the flag of the Cayman Islands.
The floating party, hosted by a Florida developer on his yacht "Cracker Bay," was one of a dozen exclusive events meant to nurture those who have raised more than $1 million for Romney's bid.
"I think it's ironic they do this aboard a yacht that doesn't even pay its taxes," said a woman who lives aboard a much smaller boat moored at the St. Petersburg Municipal Marina.
Romney's Cayman-based investments have come under fire during the campaign.
The event, attended by no more than 50 people, along with Romney relatives, including older brother Scott, appeared on no public calendars. ABC News obtained a schedule of the Romney campaign's "Victory Council" and waited dockside to speak with members.
"It was a really nice event. These are good supporters," said billionaire Wilbur Ross, an energy industry executive.

'lives aboard ... much smaller boat' = 2 staterooms instead of 3. Which means this broad was a limo liberal, most likely the same bish that tipped ABC to the 'story'.
ABC assigned 4 journolists to this 'story', presumably to give one of tham -- Megan Chuchmach -- plenty of Twitter time to talk about ... her hair...lol

Anyone that is upset that a dude put a local flag on a boat docked in that port probably doesn’t like it when people dance in public, either.
I once bought a Mexican flag t-shirt on vacation and I wore it. In public. The humanity of it. My, God.
I once flew a Jamaican flag on a bass boat and drove it all down the Altamaha river. In plain view of everyone. Dear, God. What are we coming to??

I heard it from my local talk radio that it was a Bermuda Island flag. The flag has a turtle on it which makes it a Cayman Islands flag. I found out the boat is registered in George Town, which is in the Cayman Islands.
The Left will have a hissy fit that the rich run in such huge boats. They don’t think that the boat employs workers who built it and run it.

I think the point is that by not buying the boat in the USA, he denied the jobs to create, to sell, to maintain, his yacht to Americans, but outsourced to a cheaper country.
Sometimes, especially when you are a millionaire, it’s nice to shop locally, even if it may be a little more expensive.

And if your argument is based on the yacht being registered in the Cayman Islands, since when have Conservatives been critical of anyone who can legally avoid the draconian taxes being leveled on the rich in this country?
