A shocking video shows the moment two Los Angeles Police Department officers apparently grabbed a female motorist and bodyslammed her twice to the ground in a parking lot.
Michelle Jordan, a 34-year-old mother and registered nurse, sustained horrific bruising and cuts in the attack, which took place after she was pulled over for talking on her mobile phone. The brutal arrest was captured by a surveillance camera after the officers followed her car into a Del Taco restaurant parking lot in the Tujunga area on August 11.
Officials told the Los Angeles Times that Jordan had ignored the officers' orders to stay in her car and began arguing with them.
On the video, obtained by NBC4, she is seen getting out of the car before she is knocked to the ground by one of the officers...

I guess cops can do no wrong in your pathetic worldview.
The Foothills Division Commander was just reduced in rank from Capt.III to Capt II effective today with reduction in pay as well. LAPD IAD is all over this case even broadcasting the Internal Affairs tel number. Something is really rotten in that Div.
The people who fomented, fought and won our Revolutionary War refused to obey the "cops" of the day (British Magistrates) and ultimately, the army that was sent to force their obedience.
Maybe they should have just followed orders.
A lot of the "laws" these days are just plain B.S., and need to be disobeyed.
“Jordan had ignored the officers’ orders to stay in her car and began arguing with them”
So the cops say, and anyone who’s been a cop or is a cop, sleeps with a cop or works with a cop, seems to believe that cops never lie.
And they’re usually quite angry with anyone who dares to think otherwise.
“Fine, see how fast they come to YOUR door when you need them” is the usual retort.
From the picture posted, if two trained cops can't immobilize a 5'4" woman without causing the damage shown in the pic, then they need to be fired as they don't have the brains or temperament to handle the job.
I hope they file criminal charges against the guy that did this.
“I havent seen the video but it doesnt matter. You cant hear what she is saying to the cops. LAPD cops have it tough. We had a family friend who worked for LAPD, and another who worked for the Sheriffs office. (This was back in the early 1960s). Both men said that every day they went to work could be their last day alive.”
Ah, so she was LUCKY, eh?
Some conservatives give us all a bad name.
Well the LAPD has moved very quickly on this.
Police Chief Beck removed the Foothills Division Commander from the post as well as reducing his rank in grade from Capt III to Capt II with salary reduction effective immediately.
The two officers involved have been suspended pending results of Internal Affairs investigation. One officer has been confined to his home. Internal Affairs department has posted a telephone number for those who might have more info.
Additional NBC Los Angeles report:
The police chief has mandated the video be played at all roll calls and that commanding officers attend those viewings, according to an LAPD statement released Wednesday.
Beck said he has “serious concerns” about what the officers filed in the arrest report and what security cameras captured.
“It’s not that it doesn’t match, it’s just that the level of force that was used at the end of the incident is not justified by what I see in the report,” he told NBC4
To me it appears that the video was edited. Before each of the throw-downs, you see the video jump - indicating a missing section.
So - we don't really know what (if anything, to be fair to the woman), precipitated the officers actions.
I'm reserving judgment until I know why (or if) the video was modified...
The Army Vet shot while leaving a Las Vegas Costco was legally carrying a concealed weapon.
Some nervous Nellie employee saw the firearm and called police. One Metro cop told him to drop the gun after he exited the store, another told him to raise his hands. Not sure what happened next, but the police opened fire, killing the man, who was a West Point graduate and former Army officer.
The cops were promoted, and the security videos conveniently disappeared.
See my #52
Tired of some of these union type spoiled brats. Plenty of really good officers too, of course.
OK. But what explains them slamming her to the ground the second time ?
Good for Chief Beck. Hopefully these thugs will do time in general population.
At least we haven’t seen any angry posts here yet claiming that the only reason we’re not supporting the cops is because she is young, white or good-looking.
I’ll bet there’s a lot of that going on at the local LA level.
So - we don’t really know what (if anything, to be fair to the woman), precipitated the officers actions.

Just wondering what actions would precipitate the cops actions, given a handcuffed 5’4” woman.
That part is undeniable in the video, regardless of what got cut out before (if anything).
BS! We are sovereign citizens, and until we are proven guilty, we have a right to get out of our own cars on the pavement which WE pay for for heaven sakes! And we also have the right to argue with our employees whom we also pay for! It is not right usually to argue with them, but it is our right! And that law is just a tax collection is all in so. Ca. Another rippoff by local government..liberal at that.
More like, just the beginning.
Cops have to deal with human debris all the time while putting their lives on the line.
Well, this is true. However, I don't usually see them slamming the human debris to the pavement like they did this woman.
They have little patience for people disobeying express orders.
So... due to their lack of patience, their lack of ability to deal with the public, their lack of ability to discern the difference between 'cell-phone' use and 'armed criminals eluding police', this gives them the RIGHT to BRUTALLY ABUSE a FEMALE instead of just asking her to get hack in her car , or just put her in handcuffs ?
