The Libs are holding their fire until September 25th deadline to drop out, when they will then lower the boom and shout “SUCKERS!!!”

If the Democrats and their MSM brethern stop talking about Akin then I’ll look at that as confirmation of a resurgent Akin.

Is this case similar to Carbonite now begging to go back on Rush’s show?

Haha. I was one of the many who thought Akin was dead in the water, but maybe we all underestimated Missouri’s awareness of how terrible McRaskill is. Imagine if he won! The libs would go into cardiac arrest!

MEA CULPA, MEA CULP, MEA CULPA:

If the PPP (Daily KOS) a Democrat Poll has Akin even than I maybe incorrect in my assessment of Akin and him losing this seat.

Still I want to see more of the same, but I will eat crow and humble pie and admit that this is good news.

Still do not think he is going to get GOP money based on this one poll.

I'm not a big Akin fan, but it's possible he could pull this one out - as long as he keeps his trap shut for the rest of the election. Let's see what condition he's in after a week of bashing next week. You KNOW that he's going to be the topic du jour.

One may recall that Ann Coulter called Akin a selfish swine whom she officially hates. I don't think she has ever said about anyone on the Left.

I just looked at the PPP poll Roger Hedgecock referred to in his source...

See that PPP Poll he referred to here:

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2012/08/akin-44-mccaskill-43.html

It says at the very top, the date of the poll — AUGUST 20,2012.

Rasmussen had a latter poll (dated 8/23) that showed Akin down by 10.

see here: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0812/80043.html

However the most recent poll commissioned by the FRC had Akin up by 3.

See here:

Akin has the best campaign theme thrown right into his lap:

BOTH sides of the aisle hate me!.....................

REST ASSURED Republican talking heads nationwide will do their very best to carry Akin to defeat! Tokyo Rove perfected that plan in 2010.

I knew that Mo voters were not going to throw their freedom away just because of a "gaffe" from Aiken. They know for absolute sure that Ms McCaskill's agenda is Obama's agenda.

Senator McCaskill has already proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that she don't give a rat's ass about Missouri voters since she had a chance to stop Obama care by herself, and chose not to.

The fact is 3 months is a long time and Akin’s can still win this.

A week is forever in politics. A lot of people may be disgusted with the beltway RINOS treatment of Akin, and their trying to curry favor with the RATS.

If it's a PPP or a FRC poll, I wouldn't put too much stock in it. They both want Akin to stay in, although for different reasons: PPP, because they want a weak opponent for ObamaClaire; FRC, because they are the true believers.

Now if several other polls start showing an Akin surge to within four points or so, then that would get my attention.

Why would a red state who voted for McCain last time go into the polling booth and pull a lever for a Democrat this year, when Obama is surely going to be even less popular? Only if Akin had an actual scandal under his belt, not just a politically correct witchhunt by the liberal consultant class.

I was one of those who called for Akin to drop out. I felt his remarks hurt our efforts to unseat Obama just when our momentum was starting to pick up.

However, I respect a fighter. Akin has shown that he can take the heat and not back down. I think a lot of Missouri voters will feel the same way when the go to the polls in November. So I wish Akin luck and hope he picks up the seat for us after all.

The poll showing Akin rising again should be a signal for Hannity etc to frantically try to slap him down again lest the ladies on the networks accuse him of sharing Akin’s imputed views. I will listen to Hannity today. He is the only guy I can listen to now because of my schedule and availabilities in the local area. I expect him to at least sideswipe Akin if not bludgeon him. For Consservatives why does it seem that the most feared enemies are on the right?
