A funny thing happened on race-obsessed MSNBC tonight. The liberal network failed to give viewers coverage of the speakers who happen to be member of racial minorities. As Francesca Chambers, Editor of Red Alert Politics, reported on August 28th:
When popular Tea Party candidate Ted Cruz, the GOP nominee for Senate, took the stage, MSNBC cut away from the Republican National Convention and the Hispanic Republican from Texas speech.
MSNBC stayed on commercial through former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis speech, as well. Davis, who recently became a Republican, is black. Then, when Puerto Rican Governor Luis Fortunos wife Luce Vela Fortuño took the stage minutes later, MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews opted to talk over the First Ladys speech. And Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval? Noticeably missing from MSNBC, too. Mia Love, a black candidate for Congress in Utah, was also ignored by MSNBC.
Why is MSNBC trying to exclude conservative Republicans of color in their coverage? Could it be that they are aghast that they're not on the side of the infallible Barack Obama? Could it be because it cuts against their persistent whine that the GOP is the party of "dog whistle" politics aimed at working-class white voters?
It's irnoic since Daily Beast contributor Michael Tomasky friviously labeled this year's RNC convention as racist.
Shall we take bets on when Condi Rice's speech is interrupted by a Michelin tire commercial?
Let me guess. It wasn’t deliberate and you can find it all on their website if you search hard enough.?
MSNBC is the Democrat Plantation Overseer who brings backs the runaway slaves that wanted FREEDOM.......the RACISTS onMSNBC CANNOT let them do that.
I could not find a single channel with uninterrupted coverage of the convention: mostly panel discussions. Some of the panels were uniformly made up of liberals (counting David Brooks as one of them).
CSpan, which used to have clear coverage, was not covering the convention, but featured minor stories of extremely low interest.
cspan provided full coverage last night. there is more than one cspan channel.
F*** PMSNBC ! I never watch that channel !
Yes, hats off to C-SPAN. Got to see it all!
I recently re-read Orwell’s 1984. It’s like the playbook of the Obama liberals.
I don’t know what your problem was. I watched the convention for several hours yesterday afternoon and evening on CSPAN.
I thought it was well covered, and actually enjoyed some of the speeches—especially Ted Cruz.
MSNBC is an organ of pure agitprop, controlled by political operatives for whom truth and journalism are academic concepts unrelated to their own goals.
We need our own TV network. These alphabet networks are all hopelessly red diaper commie fag-loving Obama loving libbies with one agenda and a hugh influence on the mind numbed public skcool populous.
Orwell’s book was a warning to the citizens. His idea of prolefeed is exactly what the alphabet networks are doing now.
Our family is now looking at the idea of using internet TV and killing the cable feeds. Today’s blathering networks are horrible and we’re paying way too much for them. PJTV and other selected feeds look promising.
Anybody know of any good Internet TV stations?
I thought Artur Davis’ speech was excellent.
I watched on PBS...
This morning I happened to hear a truly stupid statement. Some guy on MSNBC was whining that Ann Romney said her husband would not fail but did not show this to him. I wish I had watched the show long enough to find out who this knucklehead was.
Most of MSNBC viewers are people like me that switch to watch during Fox commercials for the entertainment value.
And then very early in the morning I tried to watch a little bit of the re-run on MSNBC. I could not get past whatever it was Chris Mathews as wearing instead of a shirt and tie. Normally when people look like that somebody offers them a bowl of soup and a pamphlet about how much Jesus loves them.
