Although President Obama signed his health care initiative into law two years ago, it's just now making its way into Americans' lives. Most still don't really know how the law will affect them.
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, best known as Obamacare, has been controversial since it was drafted in 2009 and signed into law a year later.
It gives the government control over one-sixth of the U.S. economy and is more than 2,700 pages long.
Most lawmakers who voted for the bill admitted they hadn't even read the legislation - even its most ardent supporter, then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
"We have to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it, away from the fog of controversy," Pelosi said at the 2010 Legislative Conference for the National Association of Counties.
One man who has studied the law in detail is C.L. Gray, an author, physician, and founder of Physicians for Reform.
In his book, The Battle for America's Soul, Gray paints an ominous picture of life in America under government-mandated health care - especially for the elderly and those with life-threatening illnesses.
According to Gray, there are two primary problems with the healthcare system that Obamacare fails to rectify:
Why Doctors Are Abandoning Medicare (Physicians will not be bullied into bankruptcy)
If they be like to die, they better do it and decrease the surplus population.
I'm one of those with a chronic illness and I'll be 60 later this year — too old for any serious care. So once Obamacare is fully implemented, I don't expect to be around much longer.
Nice knowing you all.
What America will look like under Obamacare? Its not too difficult.
Go to Argentina - many things there from economics to politics, to farming to healthcare will show you where America is heading.
Its not Zimbabwe, but its nothing to look forward to either.
A nation closer to a second American revolution.
The worse effects of Obamacare will be seen almost immediately in neonatal intensive care units (NICU). NICU care is very expensive and some infants spend a long time in these units only to have severe handicaps when they are strong enough to leave. The Death Panels in the form of Obamacare treatment guidelines, will deny admission to the NICU to any infant who according to “statistics” is not “viable” or likely to reach adulthood. Many infants now routinely give access to the NICU will under Obamacare be turned away and simply die.
In the video clip at the link (at about the 12 minute mark) the author, C.L. Gray explains that Obamacare has a board of over-seers that are not accountable to the excutive branch nor congress nor the judiciary, they have lesilative powers and they will target senior citizens......
