More of our guys and gals at risk of being shot in the back by their Muslim “allies”?

More money down the hole for something that won’t work.

wtf??????????
"The soldiers will deploy to the Horn of Africa where they will work to promote regional security and stability."
What is the 'mission' , what is the definition of success, and what is the exit plan?
Or are they just going to hang out and 'raise awareness'?

Here’s one case where Ron Paul is absolutely correct. What business does the Kentucky National Guard have in Africa?
Unless southern Africa recently declared war on us and I missed it, the Kentucky National Guard belongs in Kentucky.
To: RightGeek
President Romney, here's another something to go on your list of immediate actions after your inauguration:
Bring these troops home!

“Horn of Africa”? We’re putting troops on the ground in Somalia?

2nd Battalion, 138th Field Artillery. The soldiers will deploy to the Horn of Africa where they will work to promote regional security and stability.I'm pretty sure my idea of promoting regional security and stability through the applied use of field artillery is different from what Panetta has in mind.

I bet $20 bucks that they are NOT taking their artillery pieces.
They are probly being wasted as “MP” fodder.

“...the Kentucky National Guard belongs in Kentucky.”
Perhaps he’s getting them, and others, out of the way in order to leave us civilians defenseless.

This violates every conceivable principle of traditional American foreign policy.
Here is a discussion of what is wrong with such meddling: An American Foreign Policy. Risking American lives where we have no immediate interest, of course, is always unforgivable.
Bush II was terribly confused about the function of American Foreign Policy; but Obama almost makes Bush appear the "strict constructionist," he once claimed to be. (Almost, but not really.)

Go to link for US Africa Command Home page for its mission statement and links to news. Dubya’s legacy passed on to the Kenyan occupy-1600-Pennsylvania-Avenue. Nation building, AIDS/HIV, NVG training in Rwanda, Drones, etc.
Does seem like a bunch of NG units being cycled through. Marine MEU had amphbious assault excercise out of Dijbouti recently

Hussein is pursuing a secret war in Mali. Primarily.
But it’s in various parts of the african continent also.
So great we’re going to lastingly improve Africa, right...?
I’m sure that’s what you were thinking. I mean, we have tons of dough for foreign aid.
For AFRICA.
