Court Rules Israel Wasn’t at Fault in U.S. Activist’s Death By DANIELLE ZIRI and JODI RUDOREN
HAIFA, Israel — An Israeli judge ruled on Tuesday that the state bore no responsibility for the death of Rachel Corrie, the young American woman who was run over by a military bulldozer in 2003 as she protested housing demolitions in the Gaza Strip.
The lengthy verdict in the civil case, read to a courtroom packed with supporters of Ms. Corrie’s family here, called the death an accident that occurred during “a military activity meant to prevent terrorist activity.”
“She chose to put herself in danger,” said the judge, Oded Gershon. “She could have easily distanced herself from the danger like any reasonable person would.”
Since her death, Ms. Corrie has become an international symbol of the Palestinian resistance. A play based on her writings has been performed in 10 countries, and a ship in an aid flotilla to Gaza bore her name. Numerous books and documentaries have told of how Ms. Corrie, a 23-year-old student, stood in an orange vest with a bullhorn between a bulldozer and the home of a Palestinian family in March 2003 during the height of the second intifada, or uprising.
A lawyer representing the state said after the hearing on Tuesday that the driver of the bulldozer did not see Ms. Corrie, and could not have.
But at a news conference after the verdict, the Corrie family’s lawyer, Hussein Abu Hussein, showed pictures of Ms. Corrie taken that day in 2003, pointing out her bright garb that he said “anyone could have seen.”

Sounds like Corrie’s case fell flat.
Makes me wonder if the parents are just that dumb of if some scummy lawyer convinced them to do it.
This reminds me so much of an incident in the early 1960s when some protestors were protesting something at a construction site in the US. a group of protestors threw themselves in front of a bulldozer, and the driver stopped, reversed and backed up.
What the driver did not know was there were also protestors who threw themselves behind his rig and he ran over a lib priest.
I remember the photo of the pancaked priest.

Yes they are. I saw a photo of them a couple of weeks ago in the Jerusalem Post which had done a story about their "quest for justice." They're the kind of dweeby and confused but malevolent types that you see time and again in photos of those who supported Stalin in the 1950's. An encyclopedia of the left would include that photo to accompany the entry for "Libtard."

I assume that’s the actual picture of the seconds before she was flattened.
This is the first I’ve seen it, and no wonder.
Even I, who thinks she should have been flattened, had a mental vision of something much grander. Maybe it would be some grand castle or mosque, or someone’s lovely little home. Something worth defending.
Instead, she’s ‘defending’ a broken down, thrown together, sheet metal fence in front a worthless piece of junk shed that’s worth a $100 on a good day.
If it’s even possible, she’s become a double fool in my mind.

IIRC she fell off something and her head hit the blade.

I think that's pretty much it. I've seen the photos of her on the ground.
My joke tag line to the photo about her being alone is just about totally true. IIRC, there were one or two arab/ camera folk present but no wailing Arab mothers and chilrun protesting the impending doom of the milleniums old family estate.
She was a self-centered, self-aggrandizing fool playing out the video in her head, all the while being used by her American leftist cohort and Arab terrorists. But then it's become clear that she came from a line of fools and tools.
