According to Facebook’s community standards, users are prohibited from credibly (threatening) harm to others, or (organizing) acts of real-world violence.” The community standards goes on to read:
Safety is Facebooks top priority. You may not credibly threaten to harm others, or organize acts of real-world violence. We remove content and may escalate to law enforcement when we perceive a genuine risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety. We also prohibit promoting, planning or celebrating any of your actions if they have, or could, result in financial harm to others, including theft and vandalism.
Even as I was researching the issue, the page has been pulled from Facebook. It’s previous residence was here. Apparently word got out and hundreds of people flooded Facebook with protests about the page, which apparently drew more than an automated response.
One wonders if things like this will continue Facebook’s downward spiral among Wall Street Stocks. One thing is for sure, no one should be threatening anyone’s life. It’s good Facebook finally pulled the page, even if it took an avalanche of emails reporting it to do so.

If the guys from [you know which agency]aren’t making arrests right now then something is very wrong.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Waiting for them to approve the Kill Obama page....
Apparently they think such pages for presidential candidates is just fine.
I think it has been taken down

You can be certain that they are not arresting anybody and that something has been very wrong for a very long time now.
Yes, it finally got taken down. After it had been up for 17 days.
As the author states, “Apparently word got out and hundreds of people flooded Facebook with protests about the page, which apparently drew more than an automated response.”

They didn’t “approve” it. There are almost a billion facebook pages. They took it down when it was brought to their attention.
Just did a search; looks like it was removed.
Remember, any asshat can create a page...if/when FB is notified a TOS has been violated, then FB can remove it.
I think it best to liken FB to a huge city...someone puts up an inappropriate placard or opens an illegal shop...once “the cops” find out about it, they remove it...
I’m not a huge fan of FB, but I do belong and have considered MANY times about leaving...but it does help me keep in touch with far flung friends. :)
Please go read the entire article. (Wish now I had posted all of it.)
Me neither. I'll be out here hiding in the woods where I live and merrily celebrating right here on FR. Sure hope the aging servers hold up that evening. Will be an acid test for sure.
Kill Facebook Stock!!
stop face booking!!
We should start a new page with that title. Wonder how long it would last?
I don’t do Facebook or I would....lol.
I have to go on Facebook once in a while. It is really a wasted of time.
Ah Sam being in a urban area on Nov. 6 won’t be all that much a problem. It’s winter time & fairly cold in most of the country.
For those hardy souls who feel it is vital to try & run amok in the streets, it is your duty as a honest & civil citizen to ensure that they get a “warm reception” so I recommend a thermos of hot cocoa or coffee & a Mossberg 12 ga. shotgun loaded with 00 buckshot .
P.S. a suitable Sport Utility Rifle is an acceptable substitute for the shotgun.
Facebook is a great tool. They took down the page when it was found out. They have billion of pages so they get a pass from me. They did the right thing when the page was brought to their attention. Long live Facebook.
Re: 3. I’m taking the 7th off from work.
26 “likes”. Obozo, the wookie, the oldest kid & 23 occutards ?
On the night of November 6th, we will be snug in our rural Central Coast home, armed, and ready for the liberal riots that will break out because they lost the election. Good thing I’m on a well, cause they’ll most likely poison the water supply, and I anticipate the libs will disrupt the power grid, so we have a generator. My kids who live in the cities have taken vacation that week and will be home. Libs will be burning down their homes and cities in anger no doubt
Sorry but they creep me out, but so do other Internet tools I use like twitter and discus. We are all being followed now. I keep wondering about finding an old ham radio and learning how to use it for when SHTF.
My late father was a mechanical and industrial engineer and built one from odds and ends many many years ago. It was pretty cool. I doubt our generation could figure it out if our life depended on it....which it might, before this Obama nightmare is over.
