LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Actress Ellen Barkin waded into political waters Monday after she re-posted a message on Twitter calling for Tropical Storm Isaac to “wash every pro-life, anti-education, anti-woman, xenophobic, gay-bashing, racist SOB right into the ocean”.
Barkin, best known for her roles in 1982′s “Diner” and 1993′s “This Boy’s Life” along with more recent turns on TV’s “Modern Family” and “The New Normal”, posted the original tweet from user HighwayStarr on Sunday, just hours before the Republican National Convention was scheduled to convene.

I don’t understand why she gets so much attention on a conservative website. As personalitys go she is washed up and desperate for attention.

If someone had said something like that when I was growing up in the 50s, they would have been thought to be satanic. I am not sure she isn’t.

I consider myself fairly conversant with films and, like you, have honestly never encountered the name of this person in my entire life.
It reminds me of the scene in The Dirty Dozen when Donald Sutherland, impersonating a general, asks a soldier where he’s from.
"Madison City Missouri, sir!", he says proudly.
In his best deadpan expression and laconic voice, Sutherland dismissively says: "Never heard of it".

Weather.com predicts intermittent rain and thunderstorms in Tampa all week. Since the protesters are going to be outside and the Republican convention delegates are going to be inside, I'd say her prayers were answered -- just not the way she wanted them to be answered.

I remember when the g/f and I went to see ‘Ocean’s 13’ a couple years back...you could see her botched facelift scars on the big screen. GROSS!
Plus, she was never a looker to begin with...her personality matches her looks: FUGLY!!!
