Workers at a Tyson Foods poultry processing plant in Tennessee have opted to trade a paid Labor Day holiday for the Muslim celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
A 5-year contract approved by members of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union at the Shelbyville, Tenn., plant last November includes the change to accommodate Muslim workers.

You’re fine. Private businesses are allowed to operate on Federal holidays, and close on non-holidays.

actually nothing changes, you will either be paid holiday pay for Labor Day or the muslim thingie....doesn't really matter to the company....one or the other, not both.

I emailed Tyson and told them I will not only NOT EVER buy their products again, but I will make sure that my friends, neighbors and relatives don’t by them either. And then I said, “SHAME ON TYSON!”

I’ve boycotted Tyson since the Clintoon years.....I remember that they were trying to buy a meat packing company and the meat packing company wouldn’t sell, until they suspiciously had to close due to an ecoli breakout....and Tyson was able to swoop in and buy at a discount....IIRC...
Makes since they use muslims to chop the heads off chickens.
