Former Gov. Charlie Crist: Here's why I'm backing Barack Obama
Tampa Bay Times ^ | August 26 2012 | Charlie Crist

Posted on 08/26/2012 1:44:07 AM PDT by Cincinatus

I’ve studied, admired and gotten to know a lot of leaders in my life. Across Florida, in Washington and around the country, I've watched the failure of those who favor extreme rhetoric over sensible compromise, and I've seen how those who never lose sight of solutions sow the greatest successes.

As America prepares to pick our president for the next four years — and as Florida prepares once again to play a decisive role — I'm confident that President Barack Obama is the right leader for our state and the nation. I applaud and share his vision of a future built by a strong and confident middle class in an economy that gives us the opportunity to reap prosperity through hard work and personal responsibility. It is a vision of the future proven right by our history.

Crist: “Because I’m in love with him. Take me, Baraq!”

This scum was a 5th columnist within the GOP. I have not been this shocked since the sun came up this morning.

Gearing up for running for Governor again, as a democrat? Can he win the primary or would he be Spectered?

Makes sense, actually. Failed Senate candidate endorses failure of a President.

My anecdotal CC story:

I attended a 2006 Tampa Republican debate of candidates for the US Senate, including Admiral Leroy Collins, RIP.

Charlie was running for FL governor and he butted into the gathering. I knew nothing about him.

He told us he was a "Reagan Republican".

After he was done I turned to those attending with me and said, "That guy is a sleazy weasel."

I'm not always right but pegging this guy was a no-brainer.

Time to boycott the Tampa Bay Times. I posted on there and they are only accepting pro liberal views. I got the the point where I was posting the idea that they are censoring conservative points of view and now every comment I post it says “awaiting moderator approval” and it never gets approved, even if there is no swear words which i was avoiding on purpose.

I would invite everyonre to FReep the comments section of the Tampa Bay Times from the source of this story. Too many liberals running roughshod and the conservatives postuing i see moderators removing said posts. It is obvious as any rational post will have -12 thumbs down and some idiotic liberal crap will have +15 thumbs up.

The rodents would be stupid to try to run Rectal Prolapse Charlie for Governor. As somebody who tries to have it both ways, he manages to offend everyone.

Yes, there's no doubt that the MSM was helping Romney. But it's not an excuse for his winning. If the conservative candidates couldn't persuade their fellow conservatives to vote for him/her and not the other guy, what pray do we have that any of them to persuade non conservatives?

Oh, yes, the MSM will help 0bama. If the conservative primary candidates couldn't even pass the first barrier when the terrain was more familiar and accepting, I cannot see how they can survive the general election. What happened is simple. Romney being the nominee is a sign of conservatives failure, not his campaign's success.

Conservatives was handed the same thing in 2008. They whined then, and instead of learning from the experience and did it differently, they did exactly the same in 2012. And what did they do now? Whining more, of course.
