Box Office Mojo shows that "2016: Obama's America" was the fourth-highest grossing film on Friday, taking in $2.255 million, and trailing only "The Expendables 2," "The Bourne Legacy," and "Paranorman." What's more, its per-theatre gross of $2,067 is almost twice that of "Expendables," and well over double every other film in Friday's top ten.
never go to the movies but I will go to this if it is my town of St A ugustine
Gee, I’m shocked. /sarc
I can see November from the box office.....
its showing at the EPIC theatre now in St augustine, fl.
I just walked into the house, coming from the movie. Much of its content has been covered on FR. However the movie does a great job tying together the Dreams FROM his father as Obama has applied them to this country. The case for a hatred of Obamas anticolonialism and how he is applying this to his execution of the office of Presidency was very well done. Obama actually hates this contry and intends to lower the standard of living in this country. We all already knew this, but it is clarified very well. I really do recommend this documentary to freepers.
Took in the 10:00am showing in the LA area to avoid the crowds. Above average production values and story. When the 90-minute film ended, I could have easily watched another 90 minutes - it was that engrossing.
This is a documentary with a point of view that is more nuanced than you might expect, but it is a conservative point of view and doesn’t strive for balance. This is not some hackneyed Michael Moore type effort where you are bludgeoned with his ideology through dishonest jump cutting.
thanks I had just seen that and told my wife,.
LOL She is happy and looking forward to it as she calls it a date as I nevEr go out to a movie ,LOL.
She is now looking forward to popcorn and having a diet coke AND HAVING A DATE. LOL
She just said :is that what it takes for you to take me out to the theatre, oh well I’ll take it and we can hold hands.”
19 years of being together,
Going at 1pm tomorrow, can’t wait. Been years, literally, since I’ve gone to see a movie in a theater.
It was a full house at the first showing today at our theater. During the film, there were a few gasps from the audience, laughter at Nancy Pelosi, and big applause at the end.
I just went and saw the movie. It was so quiet in there you could hear a pin drop. I felt like everyone in there was “WE THE PEOPLE” and we all knew how we have to vote. The movie is so well documented and then he ties it altogether in the end and tells us it is up to us what kind of country we want. Everyone seemed quite sober walking out. It is well worth watching!
I saw it last night, and wrote the following review on my Facebook wall hopefully I can get a few of the dozen liberal friends to go see it!
I saw 2016 last-night with Cindy It was very informative! THIS WAS NOT A BASH OBAMA MOVIE! I actually felt sad for him a little The movie clearly proves that Obama WAS born in Hawaii, it doesnt talk about his sealed records, it doesnt talk about his fake social security card, it doesnt claim that Frank Marshall Davis is Obamas real father, it doesnt talk about Obamas time spent on vacations, or time spent on the golf course NOTHING LIKE THAT, but it does reveal how one man’s past can redefine America over the next four years, by using factual information as it guides the audience following Obamas own footsteps thru his life!
You all know that I immensely dislike Obama, but I must say I didnt leave this movie being angry at Obama instead I left feeling very anxious, and worried about our countries immediate future, but the single biggest thing I walked away fully understanding is the fact that... Obama doesnt just have contempt for rich Americans, He also has contempt for poor Americans... In his view, even our poor are rich by the worlds standards! And he is working toward changing this using his Anti-Colonialism ideology! The movie talks about sooooo much more than Obamas Anti-Colonialism, but this is the scariest part of the movie to me!
NOT MANY OF YOU, OR MANY AMERICANS KNOW WHAT COLONIALISM IS but its a very important part of Obamas socialist ideology! This movie explains the actions and policies of Obama using the principles of the Anti-Colonial ideology to bring CHANGE to America! Obamas Anti-Colonialism is based on the premise that rich countries got rich by looting poor countries and that, within the rich countries, plutocratic and corporate elites continue to exploit ordinary citizens the movie takes you to, and explains the origins of Obamas ideology! The key to understanding Obamas Anti-Colonialism lies with his identification with his father and his adoption of a cultural and political mindset rooted in postcolonial Africa! Had Americans been able to stop obsessing over the color of Barack Obama’s skin and instead paid more attention to his cultural identity Im 100% positive he wouldnt be in the White House today!
Again! This movie was not intended to be a slap in the face to Obama, as much as its a slap in the face to the people who voted for him without knowing who he was! I could say so much more about what this movie was, and what it was not, but I really hope that everyone would try and see this movie, because Love Obama, or hate Obama you don’t know Obama!
I just came from watching it with my better half. I agree, the anti-colonialism view is not a perspective that is shared (or even understood) by the majority of Americans, but it does explain why zero is doing what he is doing. I will be strongly encouraging my East Indian friends to see this movie, as many have bought the dems lies and are planning on backing zero. This may be the common perspective that is needed to sway them. Scary movie for sure, and Israel is the ultimate prime target in zero’s cross-hairs. Take our their biggest supporter, then deal with “The Jewish Issue”...
Any rational analysis would have to admit that our standard of living is going to tank if Obama's targeted $20.3 TRILLION national debt is created by 2016.
A very interesting perspective, and very well done. I encourage folks to go and watch this.
The two main groups I saw at this afternoon's showing were people of European heritage and people of East Indian heritage.
I second what you said, Texas Songwriter.
FReepers already KNOW everything there is to know about Obama.
The film does a great job explaining the psyche of Obama.
I never go to movies unless they are to support a conservative cause. This is certainly one we want to see be sucessful.
Not only should all FReepers go, but bring your family and friends with you, especially those that like Obama, or that don’t see him as a threat to this Country. This documentary doesn’t bash Obama, it just opens your eyes to what he is doing to this Country and why!
bumping your report!
The hated “colonial exploitation” was of course a mixed situation — it brought capitalism as well, which is the least bad of the imperfect economic systems available to man this side of heaven. Barack wants to chuck “colonial” legacy out, capitalism and all.
I understand that Dinesh D’Souza, whose book this movie is based on, is an agnostic. He has no overt religious ax to grind. But he still sees the secular connections.
