A professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder announced earlier this week that students who own guns under the states concealed-carry laws were prohibited from bringing them to his class.
But he was quickly rebuked by CU-Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano, who said such a request would violate state law.
In an e-mail to faculty, DiStefano wrote: I have the utmost respect for Professor Peterson, who is an old friend and valued colleague, but I want to make clear that if the student carrying the weapon has a concealed-carry permit, the position implied by Professor Petersons comments directly violates Colorado law and the operating principles of the campus.
Jerry Peterson is a physics professor and chair of the faculty assembly. Neither he nor the university responded to requests for comment.
Jim Manley, an attorney at the Mountain State Legal Foundation, commended the university for standing up for the law.

If it’s concealed, how would the prof know if anyone was carrying anyway?
Take that, you knob-gnashin’, peter-puffing professor piece of sub-human filth.
Don’t think VTech will happen there.
I wrote the professor a nice letter telling him what I though of his idiotic stance. Ok, I lied. It wasn’t a nice letter.
Also, from the article: “And last week, UC-Boulder administrators announced that they would create separate dormitory housing for students with concealed-carry permits, effectively segregating gun owners from non-owners.”
Or you could upgrade to this little puppy.
Just dropped good old Jerry a followup e-mail. Nice to see that the university whacked his pee-pee!
Here is his address: jerrry.peterson@colorado.edu
Just in case you want to avail yourself of the opportunity to gloat!
I would actually be OK with that except for the students in the disarmed zone who will experience more assaults, robberies, and rapes due to the choice of their leftidiot parents. What, who besides a leftscum doesn’t know which dorms will be avoided by thugs and rapists and which ones will be targeted by them?

Yeah sorry, I had an Obimbo moment. Talked before attempting to use my brain.
And they don't have any “right” to restrict people with CCW’s from carrying concealed weapons in their classrooms.
They don't even have a “right” to legally forbid people who don't have CCW’s permits, from carrying concealed weapons into their classrooms.
They can make up internal “regulations” regarding their personal preferences, and they can bureaucratically punish those who are caught ignoring their “classroom rules” by expelling those who don't follow them, but that does equate to the power of law.
One of the many things I find incomprehensible regarding our “higher education” system is that supposedly intelligent young adults, willingly pay large amounts of money to demonstrably stupid and willfully ignorant teachers, to “professionally tutor” them, in order to advance their “education”.
