Romney invokes Massachusetts health law ahead of Republican convention

Mitt Romney is invoking his Massachusetts healthcare law in the lead-up to the Republican convention, alarming conservatives who argue it’s a losing issue for his campaign.

Romney's new willingness to talk about the issue could be a sign that he thinks the Massachusetts law could help him in November.

"My healthcare plan I put in place in my state has everyone insured," Romney told a CBS reporter on Thursday. In a second interview, he called the law an "important accomplishment" that is "working, by and large, pretty well."

"I will be able to show that I have a passionate concern for people in this country," he told a debate audience in January.

Mackowiak wondered whether Romney's recent comments reflect a desire to appear more relatable to voters. Polls show that Obama leads Romney in likability.

"They're trying to show compassion," Mackowiak said of Romney's campaign.

RomneyCare was the template used to create ObamaCare.

It’s nice to see Romney is starting to show his true Progressive colors.

Next thing you know he’ll be yucking it up about how much he loves homosexual marriage!

Romney always says, “Repeal AND REPLACE” Obamacare. The “REPLACE” means encourage states to provide Romneycare. Give the states money to do it. That’s ROMNEYCARE like Mass..

Duh! There goes the roll he was on with the birth certificate joke. Mitt, Mitt, Mitt stay away from ANY type of socialized medicine. Read my lips: We. Do. Not. Want. Socialized. Health. Care.

He wants to keep Obamacare, but just rename it Romneycare.

Count on Romney to Repeal ObamaCare!

(oh, and replace it with the socialized medicine package he mandates, naturally)

(sigh)

This clown seems determined to make it as hard as possible to vote for him, even with a clothespin on my nose and a full bottle of Febreze air freshener.

If he keeps this up, I may have to revert to actually voting my principles.

Over the remaining weeks until the election, watch Romney's actions and see for yourself if you think he is counting on the conservative vote to win this election. Having done so myself already, my opinion is that he is more interested in "winning" by appealing to the disenfranchised democrat voters Obama is sending his way with his own massive (and unprecedented) veer leftward during an election year. I don't think Romney cares if we grass roots conservatives vote for him or not when the fruit is easier 'pickens' on the other side of the tree. He is a "politician" and not a "statesman".

“”My healthcare plan I put in place in my state has everyone insured,” Romney told a CBS reporter on Thursday. In a second interview, he called the law an “important accomplishment” that is “working, by and large, pretty well.” “

I responded to this filthy liar’s filthy lies last night. But to summarize, no... it is not working “by and large, pretty well.” Unless by “working well” he means he is happy that MA now imposes price controls on health care because prices kept going higher and higher. It also doesn’t insure “everyone.” About the same number of people are still uninsured, and more than half of the uninsured who got insured, the eeevil free riders from before that Romney said he was trying to get rid of, still actually get their health insurance free. So now they’re legit free riders. Others get it for hugely cheap prices, while those who are deemed rich enough pay 5 to 6x the amount. And if you refuse to pay some health insurance company for insurance costs, you’ll get penalized for it.

And in the end, what did Massachusetts get for losing their freedom to the government? Nothing. Nothing actually changed in MA. Everything simply got worse. That’s a provable fact. Even Bill O’Reilly noted this, and Mittens lying self replied “It was HIGH before” like a zombified idiot who couldn’t understand that he should now shut up about it being a success.

By the way, watching interviews with Mittens where he gets challenged, I am quite confident this man is as bad a narcissistic as Barack Obama. Maybe even worse. I saw an interview in which he was touting how he has no lobbyists running his campaign and no allegiance or debts to them. (He claimed Newt and Santorum were.) And a journalist blurted out, “That’s not true. Your senior adviser is a lobbyist.” So then he sits there and says, ‘Well, he’s not RUNNING the campaign. So and so is.” And the reporter replied, “Then, by that definition, no campaign is in bed with lobbyists.” To which Mitten just repeated his assertions. After the interview, though, Mittens walked away, then turned around and got up in his (the journalist’s) face with his Mormon/Scientologist smile and rebuked him for being unprofessional, though the journalist didn’t back down. The same thing happened to Brett from Fox News after their “hostile” interview in which Brett dared to point out a lie. Brett said on O’Reilly later that after the interview, Mittens was telling him how hostile the interview was and hoe he did not like it. Then he went into his room, came back out, and talked down to Brett again. Also examine how Mittens reacted in the actual interviews or in debates when challenged.

I’m telling you folks, that is some bizarre behavior. I don’t think we can truly comprehend how cynical and narcissistic this man is. He lies so easily, and then gets offended that you do not believe his lies.
