Embattled Senate candidate Todd Akin just told reporters in Chesterfield that he is staying in the Senate race against Democratic incumbent Claire McCaskill.

I am tired of reading their constant itching, witching, and ragging comments about the mean ole GOP.... That is NOT news.
So they got their Akin, I expect them to put up or shut up in doing the Lord's work... God never sent out incompetent speakers to do His work.... He sent Aaron when Moses complained about his speaking abilities.
I expect to see these Akin supporters out doing the Lord's work, planting signs along I-70, I-44, I-35, and every other state and county roads... I expect them to fill up Akin’s campaign coffers.
We shall see how devoted they are to their cause.... I going to in the future refer to it as ‘resurrection of Akin’.

Don't be running around calling people “baby killers” unless you know for a fact that they are. You only lose credibility. I for one will no longer be taking what you say at face value.

I've been on the fence concerning the Todd Akin matter. Since I'm not in Missouri, I don't have a direct stake in the issue but we all are going to be impacted by the makeup of the Senate.
Since I respect your political smarts and your unwavering Conservatism, your evaluation makes me join the "Go Akin!" side too. When I saw Todd Akin's solid pro-life voting record as well as his choice to not back "No Child Left Behind", I knew he was a good man. Your decision serves to confirm that. Thanks so much, Jim. By the way, I'm glad to see that phxTM06 got a well-deserved zot a day or so ago. He was really needlessly piling on against Akin.

Do you REALLY want an IMBECILE like Akin in the senate? If he won’t listen to party leaders now, what assurance do we have that he’ll listen to the GOP leaders on the floor of the senate?
Get a clue. It doesnt matter what the GOP says or thinks. Either way, Akin is toast. Its not whether you or I can overlook his comment, its what the other voters do, and what McCaskill campaign will do with it to defeat Akin. his gaffe makes him unelectable and he has a yawning gender gap.
The ONLY way to salvage this situation is for Akin to step aside - selfishly he didnt.
MEANWHILE, OBAMA WILL USE AKIN AS A FOIL IN HIS CAMPAIGN:
