AFA was recently contacted by a Home Depot employee who says the boycott of Home Depot is being effective. "We have customers who come into our store and confront our store managers over the HD's support of Gay pride. The AFA is having an effect on HD."
She also shared that many employees disagree with the company's pro-gay-marriage stand. In June, a "Gay Pride Month" poster was put up in her breakroom. "HD is as committed as ever to the changing of laws in favor of same sex marriage. They had absolutely no empathy for those employees who voiced offense with the display. This was mandated by corporate directive. Therefore the display was torn down at least 2 times."

Wow... where in the country do you live? Down here in Florida, where pine reigns supreme, the quality of the Lowes lumber is much better than HD. Hands down.
I guess it's time to put an end to that, huh? Unless the American people start speaking out, this homo crap is only going to get worse. It's bad enough they're attacking our kids when ever they can get them alone. Soon, they'll be able to poke them legally if something isn't done now.
Ditto to all of that.....
You live in Folsom?
You betcha!
I’ve encountered that at several businesses, not just Staples. First time was in Idaho, in 2002, working for EDS (Ross Perot’s company).
—”Therefore the display was torn down at least 2 times.”—
OK, THAT was funny!
Who said? One employee was interviewed and no name was given. See below..lot of credibility there

You'll note that sneaky Homo Depot does not advertise that support outside of its employees and the Homosexual celebration events itself. Homo Depot would not like to be recognized outside of those groups for that support.
^ ^ ^ Nearly every large company today is supporting the gays.
As a FReeper you should be supportive of any organization putting forth that effort. What's up?
Many of these "special interest groups" from the left AND right push an agenda and and you have to take what they claimn with a grain of salt. I believe what AFA says as much as those left wing groups like the food nanny police groups or other left wing groups..they all have an agenda.
The fact is HD sales are nearing record high and their stock is the highest in 12 years and is up 26% this year alone...so much for AFA having an impact as they claim.
I would make a bet if you asked the regular person out on the street about these boycotts 99 out of 100 would have no idea what you are talking about...they are just trying to get through life..and again they don't give a hoot anyway.
As for Lowes, here are the earnings (2nd Qtr)

I am always surprised by retail companies that take any type of stand on social issues. Why support any social hot button cause? OK, maybe diabetes research. But Gay Pride parades?
It’s a mere anecdotal story.
I don’t shop there though. Can’t find anything in their store. Lowes works better for me and this stand they have just makes me more apt not to set foot in there.
Where I live there is a Homo Depot and a Lowe’s right down the street from each other. I have traditionally shopped mostly at Homo Depot during the past 15 years because it was there first. No more. Hello, Lowes.
GOOD! I haven’t been there since the boycott happened. Like the sodomites save them if they’re losing money.
Yes! Lowe’s needs to do a Chick-Fil-A, and come out for keeping marriage hetero. They would BURY Homo Depot. I would pay money to see that.
Since the news of the HD “advocacy” position came out I don't think I've spend $100 in a HD, in total, since. We have two of them within a 10-minute drive, and I haven't stepped in either of them for nearly 3 years. I won't spend a dime in an HD unless I have an emergency need and no other choice.
The concrete siding at Menard’s is almost 50% less expensive than at the Home Depot. My husband and I were shocked by that. So incredible I don’t see how they stay in business
Good pick-up. That poster implied to me a month or so ago that he/she/it takes it up the rear.
So, I think there’s something else going on with that poster.
